Former morning show host on Adom FM, Captain Smart has hinted that his former company still owes him GH¢ 5,000.
He revealed this in a conversation with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on KOFI TV on Saturday monitored by KwasiAboagyeLive.com.
Captain Smart, who was talking about the offers that have come his way in media career said he took a car (Alfa Romeo 78101X) before moving from Radio Peace in Winneba to Otec FM in Kumasi because the station couldn’t pay the amount he charged.
“From Otec to Kess Radio I took a lot of money at that time, you’ll be amazed if I mention the amount to you. And from Kess Radio to Fox FM, I took a huge sum of money.
“I didn’t want to take money from Fox FM to Adom FM; I wanted to prove a point because there was a perception that presenters from Kumasi flop in Accra.
“So they asked me the amount of money I’ll take and I told them to give me GH¢50,000 and they paid GH¢45,000 so I’ll go for the balance of GH¢5,000 later,” he said amidst laughter.
Captain Smart revealed that before his resignation from Adom FM, the management had a meeting with him and asked him what they could do to make him stay but he told them he didn’t need anything and just wanted to leave.
He disclosed that Dr Kwaku Oteng chased him for over 7 months before he finally made up his mind to join Angel FM.
