Despite Media was willing to pay me more to stay but I rejected it – Kwadwo Dickson

Broadcast Journalist Kwadwo Dickson has disclosed that his former employers, Despite Media wanted to pay him more money so he wouldn’t leave but he rejected it.

Kwadwo Dickson, who now works with Angel FM, revealed this in an exclusive interview with Kofi Adoma Nwawani on Kofi TV which was monitored by KwasiAboagyeLive.com.

According to him, after working with despite Media for 18 years, the decision to say goodbye to them was a tough one revealing that it took him about three years to finally make the decision.

The newscaster said the main reason why he left Despite Media was because he needed a new challenge.

He said while he was at Peace FM, he established a recording studio where he recorded most of his commercials and jingles so he wanted to focus more on that.

Kwadwo Dickson said after he left Peace FM, his bosses called him several times to come back but he didn’t because his mind was already made up.

He stated that many media outfits approached him with juicy offers including Multimedia but he declined them, adding that he used to discuss some of the offers with Kwame Sefa Kayi.

Kwadwo Dickson said the people he worked with at Peace FM were like family, and things were good there.

Kwadwo Dickson was the Head of News at Peace FM for 15 years before quitting. He’s currently the General Manager at Angel FM in Accra.
