Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo blasts NDC’s Dela Edem; says he’s unwise over Sarkodie comment

Entertainment critic, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has descended heavily on a member of the communications team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dela Edem for saying Sarkodie has no right to wade into politics.

According to him, Dela Edem is a confused person who doesn’t know what he is talking about.

Sarkodie had chastised NDC’s Sammy Gyamfi for a cartoon depicting the murder of George Floyd in the US to protest against the Electoral Commission’s decision to compile a new voter’s register.

A number of NDC members have criticised Sarkodie and for Dela Edem the rapper had no right to speak on the issue.

Speaking on Ghana Montie on Neat FM, Dela Edem said he expected Sarkodie to put his comments into a song instead of tweeting and said he was going to throw away all of Sarkodie’s CDs he had bought.

He added that they would treat Sarkodie like a politician if he wanted to meddle in politics.

However, sharing his opinion on the matter on Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review hosted by Kwasi Aboagye, Arnold asked Dela Edem where he was that entertainers could not comment on anything political.

According to him every citizen in the country including entertainers have the right to speak their minds on every subject matter once they have access to social media platforms.

He noted that whatever the communications member of the NDC said was senseless and he must upgrade his thinking because he is not wise.

Arnold asserted that it was madness for Dela Edem to say he will throw away Sarkodie’s CDs because the rapper doesn’t do songs for political parties.

He said Dela Edem does not have tolerance and respect for Sarkodie.
