Faustina Maame Ama Agyemang, a five-time hopeful of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, says she’s back in the competition to break the jinx which has prevented a Western Region participant from winning the competition.

Faustina made her first appearance in the 2012 audition but hasn’t given up hope of wearing the ultimate crown.

She followed her dreams by participating in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 auditions.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful aims at bringing young women together to celebrate and promote African pride by inspiring each contestant to live her dreams, build self-esteem, and to strive endlessly.

Trying to represent the Western Region in this year’s competition, she said her aim is to break the jinx that has haunted he predecessors from winning the crown.

“Nothing has made me draw back and in 2012 I auditioned with the then winner Emefa but I didn’t give up and decided to come back.

“In 2013, I saw different ladies but they didn’t come the following year but I kept coming because I wanted to still get there because I believe in striving to get what you really want and where you really want to get to.

“Maybe for last year or last two years I thought I was there already because I didn’t really see any competitor around but I believe if you are not selected there is nothing you can do.

“The judges told me I did my best but I don’t think what they said pulled me back because I am still here in 2016 and one significant thing is that I always got to the finals.

“I did my best in the past competitions and with this being the 10th anniversary, I am just hoping that I will get there because coming for the fifth time isn’t easy.

“Western Region is a good region and I believe we can get there and I believe that I’m not only here to win the crown but I’m here to break that jinx that nobody from the Western Region has ever won the crown”.
