Ghanaian gospel artiste Joe Mettle says his voice is a gift from God and will therefore accept it in good faith if he decides to take it back.

Joe Mettle is gradually becoming a daily talk on the lips of gospel music lovers.

Known for his creativity, stage craft and passion he exudes when singing, he is gradually carving a niche for himself as a must-hear gospel artiste in modern times.

At age 16, he realized that he had a unique calling upon his life.

His Christian upbringing and time spent in the counsel of elderly laid the foundation he stands upon as a gospel singer.

During his early days of singing, he worked as a backing vocalist for some Ghanaian gospel greats including Cindy Thompson, the late Minister Danny Nettey, and Reverend Tom Bright Davies.

He was the lead singer for the indigenous multicultural music group, Soul Winners.

Speaking on 3FM’s Urban Blend hosted by Miriam Osei Agyemang as part of preparations towards the Ghana Stands in Worship Concert on August 27, he said his voice is a gift from God and therefore wouldn’t have any problem with it if He decides to take it back.

“It’s a God-given thing and so you use it to the best of your ability and how God wants you to use it as much as you can.

“If you wake up one day and He decides to take it away, He gave it to you and if He decides to take it away it’s Him so we will still give Him the glory anyway because there are other things He will equip you to do again”.

Joe Mettle, a former member of music group Soul Winners, stated that the devil feeds on fears rather than strengths of believers and he therefore works on his strengths and the things that God can do through him than the things he fears can happen to him.

Joe Mettle has founded the Joe Mettle Ministries from the desire to use music to bring people together. The ultimate vision is centered on empowering believers and winning souls for Christ through the power of worship.
