Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club will begin their group campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday in DR Congo.

They will play TP Mazembe in the opening Group A fixture.

The Ghanaian side will be seeking a first win away from home in a continental clash, having only drawn once on their way to the group stage.

The Congolese boast of being holders of the top-tier continental club competition, the Champions League, though falling short of defending their title this year.

The match at the Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi will be refereed by Bernard Camille of Seychelles. He will be assisted by compatriots Hensley Danny Petrousse and Eldrick Adelaide.

In the other group encounter, Algerian side MO Bejaia will host Tanzania’s Young Africans at their Unite Maghrebine stadium, on the same day.

One match in Group B was played last Thursday with hosts Kawkab Athletic Club of Morocco beating holders Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia 2-1.

Morocco’s FUS will, however, host Al-Ahli Tripoli of Libya on Sunday.
