The newly outdoored running mate of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Mr. Kodwo Mensah Sosu, is calling on Ghanaians to join forces with the NDP, to help curb marginalization of the under privileged.

The NDP has made empowerment of the under-privileged class a key issue in their bid to secure power in the December 7 elections

Speaking at his outdooring ceremony Thursday, the 47 year old entrepreneur said Ghanaians should not let their fear and anxiety hold them back from contributing their quota to the development of the nation.

“We should not let our fears or our anxieties hold us back in contributing our bit to this great nation of ours; together we shall root out marginalization of the underclass, women, children, the youth, citizens who contribute to the economy; in justice, unity and peace we will make that progress.”

The founder and flagbearer of the NDP, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings added that the party believes in the people of Ghana and will always put the interest of the people first, unlike other parties.

She explained that NDP will make the needs of Ghanaians top of the priority if elected into power.

“For us in the NDP, the people come first. It is the people who matter, always the people no individual but the people”.

Mrs Rawlings took the opportunity to downplay the ruling government’s mantra of changing lives and transforming Ghana. According to her, government is rather enriching its functionaries rather than Ghanaians.

“…we say we believe in the people, yes indeed we do. We are not like those people who prefer to politic everything, the people are suffering, people are hungry, people are dying because they can’t get medical care and   yet they say they are transforming lives and changing lives”.

She added “I think it is true though, they are transforming their lives and changing their lives”.
