Catholic Bishops caution NPP about electoral repercussions tied to the LGBTQ bill

0

The Catholic Bishops Conference is cautioning the New Patriotic Party (NPP) about potential electoral repercussions if President Akufo-Addo fails to sign the Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill approved by Parliament.

Despite concerns regarding economic impacts, such as endangering Ghana’s access to World Bank funds, conservative forces strongly advocate for the bill. The Bishops Conference maintains its position, emphasizing the significance of upholding traditional values and pledging to sway voters against the NPP if the bill is not ratified.

In response, President Akufo-Addo’s administration is contemplating engagement with conservative groups to address economic concerns and potentially delaying the bill’s signing until legal challenges are resolved.
Nevertheless, the Bishops Conference stands firm, highlighting the political consequences for the President and his party in the upcoming elections and reaffirming their commitment to opposing LGBTQ activities.

“Once you’re able to invest in the expertise I’m pretty sure you’ll pull up a very good movie,”he confidently stated.
This hopeful message invites corporations to not only provide financial assistance but also to recognize and value the abundant creative potential within Ghana’s film industry.
