Mahama Is Coming to Correct All Your Errors – Nii Lante Vanderpuye to Nana Addo

0

MP for Odododiodoo, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, has voiced his disapproval of President Akufo-Addo’s handling of national affairs, suggesting that an apology to Ghanaians could be necessary due to the President’s neglect of the people’s needs, which has led to widespread hardship.
Vanderpuye’s remarks came in response to Akufo-Addo’s call for Ghanaians to reject former President John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, in the upcoming December elections.

Akufo-Addo argued that voting for Mahama would jeopardize the progress made under his administration and endanger the nation’s future.

However, Vanderpuye argued that Akufo-Addo lacks the moral authority to criticize Mahama, asserting that Akufo-Addo’s performance could brand him as the worst President in Ghana’s history.

He suggested that Akufo-Addo’s administration has been marred by corruption and economic decline, implying that Mahama would be better suited to address these issues.

Vanderpuye stated, “If I were Nana Addo, the best thing I would do as a person is to apologise to the millions of Ghanaians who voted for me and whom I have hugely disappointed. Nana Addo will go into history as the worst President ever in the Fourth Republic of this country. Worst President ever because he is the most corrupt president in our history.”

“He is the one who has collapsed our economy. Ghana’s economy today is worse than at any time in our history. Is that the legacy he is talking about? Of course, John Mahama will come and correct all,

Don’t vote for Mahama, he will destroy whatever I’ve done – Nana Addo.

President Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to reject John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, as their choice in the upcoming December elections.

He cautioned that voting for the former President could jeopardize the progress achieved during his administration and undermine the nation’s trajectory.

Speaking to a crowd at a mini rally in Doboro, Greater Accra, following his visit to Blue Skies Limited, President Akufo-Addo reiterated his endorsement of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the preferred candidate for the presidency.

“This is our election year and the limited registration has started. Anybody who hasn’t registered and is eligible should go and register. This is because your right to vote is your power.

“Also, when the time is up for the voting, our job is simple. The person I defeated and my work since I took over, seems not to please him, I cannot hand over power to such a person. He will destroy whatever we have done when he comes.”

“I am pleading with you to vote for the person I have worked with for the past seven and half years. I have faith in him and I know that he will come and continue the work I have begun as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission has commenced a nationwide limited registration exercise for individuals who turned eighteen, running from May 7 to May 20.

Medikal Chooses O2 Arena for Next London Show: Here’s Why

Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, professionally known as Medikal, has announced that his upcoming show in London will be at the O2 arena following a sold-out performance at the Indigo O2. The ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker had a successful show at the 2,750-capacity venue on May 3, 2024. Speaking in a phone interview with MzGee on United Showbiz, he disclosed that the number of fans who couldn’t enter exceeded those who attended, prompting him to seek a larger venue.

Medikal stated, “My fans didn’t come on time and I don’t blame them. Some people went to work and their off time didn’t favor the show. All these are lessons learnt. I now know that the next time I will play a show in London it will be a very big venue because this venue was too small for the show I had. I honestly had no idea it will happen like it did. We would’ve opted for a bigger venue but at the end of the day we had a good show.”

Reflecting on the experience, Medikal expressed surprise at the turnout and emphasized the need for a bigger venue to accommodate his enthusiastic fanbase. He noted that many fans missed out due to the venue’s limited capacity and expressed disappointment at their inability to attend.

He added, “For this recent event, the patrons who had to stand outside were way more than the ones who got the chance to come in which is very bad because most of my fans in London wanted to see my performance. I was hurt that some people couldn’t enter.”

When asked about the next London show, he confirmed it would be at the O2 arena to ensure everyone can enjoy the performance without overcrowding issues. He stated, “The next venue I’ll play a show in London will be the O2 Arena because we need a very big stage so that everyone will be able to come and have fun. I wouldn’t want people to rush to the event only to stand outside.”

The O2 arena has a capacity of 20,000 people.

Medikal Opens Up About Early End to Indigo O2 Concert

Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, professionally known as Medikal, has recently addressed concerns regarding the timing of his Indigo O2 concert in London and the performances of fellow musicians who traveled to support him.

In a phone interview with MzGee on United Showbiz, he stated, “You see, a lot of people underestimate Medikal as a brand. Right now. I am talking about Medikal as a company. This is Samuel talking to you about the company. At the end of the day, the way we promoted this event, it was only right that people came up in their numbers. They ended up coming late and it made the show delay because here they work with time.”

He elaborated on the necessity of ending the show promptly, mentioning, “We were supposed to end the show at 11.00. We would have paid more money if we had exceeded the agreed time by about 300,000 pounds. I am a poor person and I don’t have that kind of money. I will get money only after the show. I wasn’t ready to go through that process of paying money for breaching the contract or an agreement.”

Medikal expressed regret over fans missing out on the event, saying, “My fans didn’t come on time and I don’t blame them. Some people went to work and their off time didn’t favor the show. All these are lessons learned. I now know that the next time I will do play a show in London it will be a very big venue because this venue was too small for the show I had. I honestly had no idea it will happen like it did. We would’ve opted for a bigger venue but at the end of the day we had a good show.”

He concluded by revealing his plans for future events, stating, “The next venue I’ll play a show in London will be the O2 Arena because we need a very big stage so that everyone will be able to come and have fun. I wouldn’t want people to rush to the event only to stand outside. For this recent event, the patrons who had to stand outside were way more than the ones who got the chance to come in which is very bad because most of my fans in London wanted to see my performance. I was hurt that some people couldn’t enter.”

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has issued a warning advising Ghanaians to prepare for heavy rains potentially continuing until the end of July.

This advisory comes after reports of flooding in parts of Accra following heavy rainfall on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Felicity Ahafianyo, Head of Central Analysis and Forecast at GMet, stated that areas, especially in the southern regions, can expect thunderstorms with strong winds, possibly causing damage to buildings, tree branches, and uprooting trees with weak roots. Ahafianyo emphasized that residents in the southern sector should be vigilant as moderate windy conditions, lightning, and thunderstorms are expected between now and the end of June/July.

“We should be expecting every day or every other day, we will be experiencing rains in the southern sector. For the northern sector, they are not preparing for their rain storm so once in a while they will get rain which is likely to be moderate or severe and will come with strong wind that is likely to bring destruction, ripping off roofing sheets and possibly taking down tree branches.

“For us at the southern sector, we should put our minds at rest that between now till the end of June/July, we will be getting some rains and most times, it’ll be accompanied by moderate windy conditions with lightning and thunderstorms,” she said in an interview with Citinews.
