The 2024 Met Gala red carpet event concluded at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, marking the end of fashion’s grandest night.
This year’s exhibit, titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” explores how technology rejuvenates garments too fragile to wear again. Guests ascended the museum’s iconic steps in attire reflecting the event’s “The Garden of Time” dress code, inspired by a J.G. Ballard story about a count using a rose to slow time.
The evening’s fashion ranged from florals to techno-inspired attire, echoing the exhibit’s blend of old and new themes. Notable attendees included Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Zendaya, who served as co-chairs alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour. The gala, which supports the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute, maintains a secretive guest list, but all those who graced the carpet in their garden party finery are now revealed.
