It’s alleged: Young man who married two wives the same day has three baby mamas

0

It has been alleged that Ghanaian businessman and CEO of Inside Life Group, Michael Houston popularly known as Godfada GH Houston, recently married two wives at the same time allegedly has three baby mamas.

According to reports, he already has kids with three different women, and marrying two more wives in addition to his three baby mamas makes the women in his life five.

Anyway, Godfada who is now tagged the King Solomon of our time recently posted on his Facebook wall that he wanted to marry five women.

In a recent post, he showered praises on his wives and how they always have his back.

He wrote; “My wives have been doing something i want to talk about, I work late in the nights but around 12midnight i don’t find my wives around in the master bedroom. Its been happening for a while but it wasn’t much of a concern cause my work keeps me busy and occupied around that time.

But yesterday immediately i realized they have vanished at 12midnight as they usually do, i decided to go look for them in the other rooms in the house. To my surprise they have set up one of the rooms which they call the “WAR ROOM” and this room is specifically for prayers.

Every midnight they join an online praying group which my mom encouraged them to join with her to pray and sometimes they pray till they fall asleep. I now understand why i am making so much progress in life, sometimes a woman doesn’t need to provide money in a relationship like the modern world paints it, her heart and prayers is enough.

I am so impressed and proud, in my next life i want to marry them again. To all the men out there, remember to appreciate our women, cause they can make or break you. Adepa Fel and Godess Deejah Abarry, My God bless you plenty, may we thrive through all storms of life and come out winning. From the bottom of my heart i say Thank you and i love you 3000🥰😆🙏🏾 #CEODRHOUSTON

The world will come to an end on October 1st — Pastor Adeboye

0

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has said Jesus Christ might return to the world on October 1 of a year that is yet to be known.

The Clegyman said this at a recent event in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to him, “God was behind the scene when 1st October was chosen as Independent Day by Nigeria’s fathers of democracy.

Nigeria is a very special country. It will amaze you to know that the most amazing date in the Biblical calendar is 1st October. That is the day that is called – the feast of trumpets – and many Bible scholars believe that the most likely date that Jesus will come back again to earth will be October 1, but the year we don’t know.

The Bible says when Jesus will come back it will be with the sound of the trumpet and the day for the feast of trumpet is to start on October 1st.

Now when you consider that, you will know that God was behind the scene when our fathers (some of whom are now gone) were choosing 1st October as the day for our independence and this could explain why Nigeria has gone through so much turbulence. Sometimes when you think by tomorrow there will be no more Nigeria, you will wake up the next day and still find out that Nigeria is still standing.

No matter what is happening in Nigeria today, I firmly believe that we have a glorious future. God has a very special interest in our nation Nigeria and I want you to be encouraged.”

Ghana Airport Company MD ordered to go home at 60

0

The Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), is currently out searching for a new Managing Director (MD) as the government, has sacked Pamela Djamson-Tettey under the guise of attaining the mandatory retirement age of 60 years, hence must leave on December 23, 2023.

What is strange is that, the GACL has officers in senior management positions, who are in their 70s or well past the compulsory retirement age of 60.

For instance, Captain (Rtd) Budu Koomson, aged over 70, is still serving as the Special Assistant Adviser to the Managing Director.

The development, has sent the workers some of whom hadn’t been promoted in years murmuring about the purity of the government’s intention, especially when many heads of state agencies, including Ghana Railway Authority and Ghana Gas Company are over 60 years, but still in office on contract under the claim of excellent performance or unique expertise.

Djamson-Tettey, had taken over from Yaw Kwakwa, with a mindset to turn the fortunes of the state-owned company around and protect the national asset. She succeeded in doing that to a large extent in less than two years.

Her appointment as MD, in February last year, happened at a time of tension between the workers and management, however, she won over the workers to her side and managed to enhance efficiency leading to increased revenue into national coffers. Many insiders tell The Herald that GACL is not what it was when she took over from Mr Kwakwa.

But she had run into conflict with the Transport Minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah for opposing attempts to hand over the prime GACL to Heaven Builders Limited, owned by Benedict Peters, a friend of the Akufo-Addo family for a chicken feed, and was threatened with dismissal.

Mrs Djamson-Tettey was ready to resign, but prevailed upon to wait for the President, Nana Akufo-Addo who was on a foreign trip to return. Little was spoken about her dismissal or retirement until she was recently sent a letter that her services were no longer needed, hence must leave when she hits 60 years on December 23.

To give her sacking some semblance of credibility, another institution under the transport ministry, the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA), had its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Benonita Bismarck also retired, but after seven years at the helm of affairs from June 2017 to November 2023. She is replaced by one Kwesi Baffour Sarpong.

But the case of the GACL has left many surprised as to the extent the government and its cronies will go to get its way around particularly having unfettered access to state property.

The Herald last week reported the troubling situation at GACL, where senior management positions have been taken over by individuals who have exceeded the mandatory retirement age of 60 years.

This influx of retirees has resulted in a stagnation of staff promotions, with some employees remaining in the same roles for over 21 years, creating tension within the state-owned GACL.

Captain (Rtd) Budu Koomson, aged over 70, is serving as the Special Assistant Adviser to the Managing Director.

His appointment is perceived as a reward for his involvement in bringing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Nana Akufo-Addo to power. Despite changes in Managing Directors over the years, Koomson continues to hold his position without any blemish.

Similarly, Colonel (Rtd) Emmanuel Akohene Mensah, aged 69, serves as the Director of Aviation Security.

Additionally, Yaw Appiah-Danquah, aged 63, the Director of Airports Planning and Projects, and Emmanuel Akotoa Fianko, aged 64, the Group Executive in charge of Procurement, have also retained their positions with no indications of departure.

Complicating matters is the government’s decision to remove Djamson–Tettey as MD, allegedly to facilitate major policies, including the disposal of prime Airport Lands in Accra for the Airport City 2 Project.

Benedict Peters’ Heaven Builders Limited, is expected to act as the Anchor Developer.

The disposal of the airport lands, priced at US$85 million for 45 years, raises concerns as Benedict Peters pushes for a counter-proposal of 62.14 acres for 99 years at a significantly reduced value, described by analysts as detrimental to the country’s interests.

Despite multiple valuation reports supporting a higher price, efforts by Adom-Otchere and Minister for Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, seem determined to favour Heaven Builders Limited.

Heaven Builders Limited, owned by Benedict Peters, has connections to the Akufo-Addo family and has been previously involved in controversial dealings, such as deploying an expensive COVID-19 testing facility at KIA during the pandemic.

Peters’ attempt to secure valuable land at KIA for a fraction of its worth, is raising eyebrows and highlighting potential conflicts of interest within the government.

The juicy state lands near the KIA in the name of GACL, is being given out to a Nigerian-owned company; Heaven Builders Limited, which is using some Ghanaians as fronts.

The Ghana Institute of Surveyors is reported to have priced a 1.7 acre of the airport lands for over US$6.3million, as far back as 2019, but Heaven Builders owned by Benedict Peters, a friend of the Akufo-Addo family, has pegged the current value of an acre of the land at a paltry US$1.3million on average.

Benedict Peters is a friend of Edward Akufo-Addo alias “Bumpty”, a younger brother of the President.

Ghana Airports is giving out 38.41 acres of the land to anchor holders at US$85 million for 45 years, but the influential Benedict Peters, has insisted on having 62.14 acres for 99 years in its counter-proposal which analysts have described as inimical to the interest of the country.

This means that the land – 62.14 acres – which is supposed to be sold at US$139 million, the valuation of GACL is going to be US$85 million, which is rather the cost of the 38.41 acres of the airport lands.

But going by the Ghana Institute of Surveyors, which priced 1.7 acres of the land at over US$ 6.3 million as of 2019, Benedict Peters, should be coughing more than US$139 million.

The land was part of a 272-acre land the Tony Lithur-led board under the John Mahama administration, got vested in the name of the state and leased to GACL for 99 years.

The proposed terms, notably a significantly reduced value for the land, have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest.

The valuation of the land, especially in comparison to reports from the Ghana Institute of Surveyors, raises questions about the transparency and fairness of the deal.

The situation underscores the challenges of balancing governance, transparency, and potential conflicts of interest within state-owned enterprises. The ongoing situation warrants scrutiny and public discourse to ensure accountability and fair practices.

Offinso stool saga: KK Sarpong is not a royal – Traditional Council declares

0

Elders of the Asanteman Council have declared that a nominee to the vacant Offinso stool is not a royal and thus, cannot lay claim to the throne.

The nominee in question is Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong, alias KK Sarpong; a former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC).

The Kumasi Traditional Council on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, held a press conference at which they specifically addressed issues around the vacant stool.

A representative of the group stated: “Despite all he is doing, we know he is not a royal. How did we know, his family lineage shows that the woman he came from, claiming she was a royal, the Nhyriem Royal House knows that she did not give birth, so, how did he come from her?

“Of important note is that no Asantehene belittles tradition, same is the case with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who has given Offinsohemaa the leverage to play her part in nominating a candidate, presenting that candidate to the authorities who will appoint same.

“We are surprised at her insistence on KK Sarpong, knowing well that he is not a royal. The world must know that Otumfuo is not seeking to change any tradition but to enforce what is fair and right,” he stressed.

The event was held by chiefs representing various divisions of the council including Nana Gyedu Kumaninin IV, Amakye Barehene; Akyeamfour Asafo Boakye, Asafohene; Boakye-Ansah Debrah, Asokore Mamponghene; Nana Adu Mensah Asare II, Amakomhene; Nana Apau Sanwoansan, Hemanhene and Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Hiahene.

While giving an account of Offinso history, the chiefs as part of the press conference, emphasized the authority of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as the person vested with the power to confirm the nomination of a person to assume a stool in the Ashanti Kingdom.

The Council members singled out the Queen Mother of Offinso Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko as the instigator behind the rancour that has greeted the rejection of Dr KK Sarpong as her nominee to the late Offinsohene, Nana Wiafe Akenten III.

The chiefs insisted that even though a non-royal could be elected as Paramount Chief, it was under strict conditions that there was no worthy royal at the time to be elevated to the position.

I received death threats – Tems reveals following pregnancy rumours with Future

0

UK-based Nigerian Afrobeats songstress, Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems has opened up on how she began receiving death threats when people thought she was pregnant for the American rapper, Future.

It would be recalled that rumours made the rounds on social media that Tems was expecting a child as a video of her carrying what looks like a baby bump.

She had debunked this rumour as false as she stated that she isn’t expecting any child.

In a recent interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, The Grammy awards winner disclosed that she had received direct messages on social media criticizing her choice of American rapper Future, who was purportedly the cause of her reported pregnancy.

Additionally, even though they and Drake had collaborated on the rapper’s Grammy-winning song, “Wait For U,” Tems claimed she had never met the American rapper.

“When I heard [the rumours] that I was pregnant, I didn’t actually think anybody believed it. I didn’t know it was serious until I started getting messages like death threats, like, ‘How dare you? Of all the people in the world, Future, really?’ And I’ve never met him in my life. So it’s crazy,” she said.

Obey Otumfuo, don’t install K.K Sarpong as chief – Kumasi Traditional Council to Offinso chiefs

0

The Kumasi Traditional Council has issued a strong caution to traditional authorities and residents of Offinso, urging them not to disregard the directive of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II against the installation of Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong (K.K Sarpong) as the paramount Chief of the area.

Since the passing of the Paramount Chief, Nana Wiafe Akenten III, the Offinso Stool has remained vacant.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has reportedly opposed the decision of Offinso traditional authorities to nominate Dr. K.K Sarpong, leading to unrest and disagreements.

Recently, the Concerned Youth of Offinso held a press conference endorsing their local leaders’ decision, claiming Dr. K.K Sarpong as a royal and a legitimate claimant to the Offinso Stool.

According to the Kumasi Traditional Council, the youth had the backing of some Offinso traditional leaders, who openly supported the claims of the “Concerned Youth”.

The Kumasi traditional council has however admonished traditional authorities in the area not to go against Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s words since he maintains his stance of rejecting the nomination of Dr. K.K Sarpong.

During a news conference, Akyamfour Asafo Boakye Agyeman Bonsu, the Asafohene speaking on behalf of the Kumasi Traditional Council, maintained that Dr. K. K. Sarpong does not have a royal lineage and cannot rightfully occupy the stool.

They urged Offinso traditional authorities to refrain from obstructing Otumfuo’s efforts to appoint a qualified royal for the Offinso stool.

“Following the death of Nana Wiafe Akenten III, some young men in the Offinso area have been organizing a series of press conferences aimed at undermining the authority of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. We won’t allow that to happen, so we are protecting the image of the golden stool. In October this year, a group known as “Concerned Youth of Offinso” organized a press conference insisting that Dr. K. K Sarpong is the rightful heir to the Offinso throne. These assertions by those groups of people go contrary to the assertion of the Asantehene on the matter. We are therefore seeking to clarify the issue.”

He added, “The Asantehene has therefore asked all families that hold the belief they have relatives who can potentially occupy the position to appear before him on December 18, 2023, for a proper engagement at the Manhyia palace. In the Ashanti Region, people are nominated as chiefs only if they are royals but not because of their financial background. We have come to know that K.K Sarpong is not a royal. We therefore want all stakeholders to follow due process to ensure the rightful person is nominated to bring about the needed development in the area.”
