The official Guinness World Records platform disclosed this information in response to an inquiry about the outcome of Afua’s singing marathon.
The revelation followed her payment for an expedited review, the details of which emerged recently.
GWR expressed appreciation for the inspiration Asantewaa provided to her fans, despite her attempt falling short of breaking the existing record. Her impressive effort spanned 126 hours, surpassing the prior record of 105 hours. It’s worth noting that the evidence check had already begun before her request for priority service, leading to a refund of her payment earlier in the month.
In their statement, GWR wished Asantewaa the best for any future record endeavors, maintaining a positive outlook on her perseverance in the face of this setback.
