The Headies, Nigeria’s most prestigious music award show, released the much anticipated nominations list for its 16th edition on Wednesday, 12.
Three (3) Ghanaian musicians, Black Sherif, Camidoh and Gyakie have been nominated for the 2023 Headies awards in Nigeria.
The Ghanaian music stars were nominated in the Best West African Artiste of the Year category together with The Therapist from Liberia.
Notably, Damini Ogulu, a Grammy award-winner popularly known as Burna Boy, received the most nods on the list with a total of 11 nominations.
The Academy states the category is for artists of West African descent with the most outstanding achievements and impact across Africa in the year under review.
Official date for the 2023 Headies is yet to be announced.
