Countryman Songo to Lead Protest Against GFA on Val’s Day

Love isn’t the only thing in the air this Valentine’s Day, as singles and football enthusiasts alike brace themselves for a Countryman Songo-led protest against the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The host of Adom TV’s Fire-for-Fire Show, Patrick Osei-Agyemang, shared on Instagram that the Ghana Police Service approved this influential demonstration.

Calling on everyone to join this peaceful protest, Songo announced a black attire theme. Scheduled for February 14, 2024, the protest aims to hold the GFA and Ministry of Youth and Sports accountable for the Black Stars’ early exit from the AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast. This protest is a strong statement against the “football people” accused of causing Ghana’s football downfall.

The notable conveners, including Countryman Songo, Saddick Adams, Nana Yaw Kesse, Veronica Commey, and others, are set to make this #SaveGhanaFootball protest unforgettable. Starting at Obra Spot, Nkrumah Circle, at 9 am, it concludes at the Independence Square.
