Swansea City star Andre Ayew says his main priority next season is to build on his impressive first season in English football and has shot down talks he could be seeking a move away from the Welsh club.

Ayew scored 12 goals in his debut season for Swansea and is confident that he can build on that for what is bound to be an even more testing second season.

“Everyone wants to improve and that would be my main priority next season; to play good, improve in every area and win as much as I can,” he told TV3 Sports.

Ayew is certain at the moment that he would be at Swansea despite reported interest from clubs like Sunderland and West Ham United.

“We know that Swansea has great ambition. We are finishing the new training centre, the club is having new ambitions too so I think Swansea knows where they are going. For my part personally, we are gonna wait and see. I  think when we finish the holidays we would have a chat but at the moment I am a Swansea player I’m happy at Swansea because the coaches, the fans, chairman, everyone gave me a lot confidence”, he said.

The 25-year old is also in no doubt that England has boosted his profile considerably.

“We know the hype, we know the media force behind the EPL and we know that it is the best league in the world too,” he said.

“Things went on well for the first year, thank God for that and i think that was what helped me get more recognition especially in places where people do not really know me.

“You know England is a country where a lot of the people watch the league and in different countries from Japan to China to Korea. So if you play in that league and things go well, you get recognition from all over the world which is pleasing for a player.”
