EFCC Charges Cubana Chief Priest with Naira Abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria has lodged a three-count charge against Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest on Instagram.

The charge alleges that he sprayed and mishandled the Nigerian currency at a social gathering, breaching the Central Bank Act of 2007.
Cubana Chief Priest is set to appear before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday, April 17th.

The charge, filed on April 4th by EFCC prosecutor Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN) and seven other lawyers representing the Commission’s Chairman, alleges various instances of tampering with N500 notes during social events.

This legal action follows closely after the EFCC recently arraigned Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on similar charges, resulting in a six-month jail sentence.
