Francis Doku takes over as general manager of TV3 and Onua TV

Career media professional and consummate marketing specialist, Francis Doku has been appointed as the new General Manager of Media General TV (MG TV), a subsidiary of the MG group responsible for TV3 and Onua TV.

Francis Doku confirmed this news on his social media pages on Friday.

In a Facebook post, Francis Doku said Group CEO, Madam Beatrice Agyeman Abbey had asked him to take over the responsibility of MG TV effective Monday, 1st June 2020.

This comes two years and ten months since he joined the MG Group as General Manager for Digital and also acting as General Manager for Radio from May last year.

He asserted that he was happy to leave both the Digital and Radio positions in the capable hands of his friends, Michael Oti Adjei; Group Head of Sports who now is General Manager, Digital and Acting General Manager of News, Abraham Asare, acting General Manager of News who is now General Manager for Radio.

Also joining the Executive Management from Monday are the current Head of Productions, Afeafa Nfojoh who takes over as General Manager of Adesa Productions Limited and Head of News Planning and Research, Sedem Ofori who assumes the role of General Manager, News.

This is to acknowledge and accept the tons of congratulatory messages sent my way. Indeed, the news is true that the management of Media General (MG) Group led by our indefatigable Group CEO Madam Beatrice Agyeman Abbey, has been gracious enough to ask me to take over the responsibility of General Manager of MG TV with effect from June 1, 2020. MG TV is the subsidiary in the MG Group responsible for TV3 and Onua TV at the moment. This comes two years and ten months since I joined the MG Group as General Manager for Digital and also acting as General Manager for Radio from May last year.

I am happy that I leave both the Digital and Radio positions in the capable hands of my friends, Group Head of Sports Michael Oti Adjei and Acting General Manager News Abraham Asare respectively to carry both forward. My other colleagues joining Executive Management from Monday are our current Head of Productions, Afeafa Nfojoh who takes over as General Manager of Adesa Productions Limited and Head of News Planning and Research, Sedem Ofori who assumes the role of General Manager, News.
