[ FULL GIST ] Reason Black Sherif got arrested at airport

A popular Ghanaian Instagram influencer, GHHyper took to his page on Wednesday, July 19 to break the news of the arrest of the 2023 Vodafone Music Awards Artistes of the Year, Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

GHHyper, claiming to be closely involved in the matter, alleged that the artiste failed to fulfil an agreement with a company known as Cruise People Limited.

The reason behind the arrest GH Hyper asserts that the “Second Sermon” hitmaker had been contracted by Cruise People Limited to be the headline performer for the second edition of their cruise ship party in Greece. As part of the deal, Blacko was supposed to do a teaser promo, which he allegedly failed to deliver. The artiste and his team also reportedly began avoiding the company, leading to dissatisfaction and concern.

Black Sherif and Cruise People Limited agreed on a fee of $40,000, with $20,000 already paid out to his team. Sherif and his team have refused to refund the $20,000 they had received from Cruise People Limited.

According to GHHyper, the Grammy winner Gramps Morgan and former CEO of 3 Media Networks Baba Sadiq attempted to mediate and convince Sherif to return the money, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.

The news of his arrest has caught much attention and has attracted diverse reactions from fans and Ghanaians.

We are still waiting for the response from the camp on Sherif on this allegation.
