Nigerian afrobeats artist, Davido recently talked about the differences between Ghana and Nigeria. He compared Nigeria to the lively energy of New York and described Ghana as a calm place, similar to the relaxed atmosphere of California.
Davido explained that Ghana is attractive because it offers a peaceful lifestyle and good vacation options. Even though he’s from Nigeria, he likes visiting Ghana because of its open spaces and fewer people, making it a great place for a laid-back lifestyle.
“People tend to go to Ghana more because there are fewer people and space. There is more vacation,” he stated.
Despite his preference for Ghana, Davido acknowledged that Nigeria, especially Lagos, has a unique and diverse vibe. Lagos, according to him, represents the whole Nigerian experience, including both the challenges and successes of the culture.
“But if you are trying to eat everything in one; you want to see the bad part, great part, and everything. Go to Lagos. Everything is in that Lagos,” He added.
