Ghanaian actress and filmmaker, Yvonne Nelson on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra held a book signing for her memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” which has been well-received by Ghanaians
In an interview with Giovanni Caleb, who hosted the book signing event, the actress saiid that the book has been received well by Ghanaians, adding that some shops and libraries have run out of copies already.
According to her, she is very happy Ghanaians are reading now and she plans of printing more copies and restocking them in shops all over the country.
She was asked again how is the strong bond between herself and her mum at the moment, and the sensational actress said, ”I think and believe she is also reading.” Yvonne Nelson further urged people who haven’t gotten a copy of her yet to do so.
In the book, Yvonne had revealed some painful memories with her mom, including the fact that she has not been able to reveal to her the identity of her real father.
Yvonne also shared that she has not seen her mum for over a year now.
The award-winning actress, Yvonne Nelson, recently added another feather to her cap by venturing into the world of literature. Her debut book, a memoir titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ has been receiving rave reviews, as well as capturing the hearts of some readers worldwide.
