Kotoko’s Dauda Mohammed gets late Black Stars’ call-up

Asante Kotoko forward Dauda Mohammed has received a late call-up to join the Black Stars squad to face Rwanda this Saturday in the final 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Ghana U-20 player has been called up to replace the injured Ebenezer Assifuah.

Mohammed has been in fine form in the Ghana Premier League as the club’s top scorer with eight goals.

It will be his first senior national team call-up in his budding career.

He becomes the second Ghana U-20 player to join the Black Stars for this qualifier after Grant called up FC Twente midfielder Yaw Yeboah to replace Leicester City’s Jeffery Schlupp.
