Kuami Eugene and Mr Drew resolve dispute over song ‘Case’

Two popular Ghanaian singers Kuami Eugene and Mr. Drew have finally resolved their dispute over the song ‘Case’, which was released in 2021.

In a new interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim, Kuami Eugene disclosed that Mr Drew has finally settled him for his contribution to the song ‘Case’.

Recall that the multiple-award-winning highlife singer, Kuami Eugene had previously disclosed that he contributed 80% to the writing of the song ‘Case’, but that Mr Drew had failed to either acknowledge his input or pay him.

But in the interview, Kuami Eugene wowed listeners with the news that Mr. Drew has since gotten in touch and given him his 50% of the f ee.

“He didn’t have a total knowledge of what he was doing…He didn’t know that if you put music out there without the consent of the one who wrote it, it’s illegal. So I won’t blame him. He is a brother, and I am glad he learned and he hit me up right after everything. He’s given me my percentage,” he noted.

According to him, he writes songs for other artists because he cannot sing all the songs he produces, especially when he notices a particular song fits the style of another artist.
