Padiki Sets Out on Guinness World Record Painting Marathon

Renowned artist Sharon Dede Padiki has embarked on a painting marathon with the aim of breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual painting session.

She seeks to surpass the current record of 100 hours by painting continuously for 168 hours. The marathon commenced on Friday, March 15, and will conclude on Thursday, March 21st at the Accra Tourism Information Centre, located near the Golden Jubilee House.

Padiki’s endeavor is being streamed live on LifeStyle TV’s Facebook and YouTube channels, providing a global audience with the opportunity to witness this historic feat. Those interested in contributing can do so by dialing 7132476#.

The current record for the longest painting marathon is held by Chancellor Ahaghotu, a Nigerian artist who painted for 100 hours in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from October 26th to October 30th, 2023.

Padiki’s artistic influence extends across diverse mediums, as her creations grace esteemed locations including luxury hotels, museums, galleries, and exhibitions throughout Ghana. Notable venues encompass the Rock City Hotel in Nkwatia, La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park.
Beyond her gallery showcases, Padiki engages in panel discussions, sponsors pageants, talent shows, and prestigious award programs, garnering accolades like the Most Outstanding Female in Art in Ghana.
