LilWin asked to apologize to Martha Ankomah for making a private issue public

0

Veteran film director, Frank Fiifi Gharbin has called on Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, to render an apology to actress, Martha Ankomah for making derogatory remarks about her in public.

According to him, LilWin’s decision to chastise Martha Ankomah publicly over an issue that is meant to be kept private was a step in the wrong direction and does not speak well of him.

He stated that he had no idea about LilWin’s public rant and was a bit disappointed when he got to know that the actor had made the issue known on social media.

“This is the showbiz industry so anything can happen but my concern is that what I told him [LilWin] was a secret, it was not meant for the public. I was not even aware when the issue became public, it’s a bit worrying. I think LilWin should apologize to Martha Ankomah to settle the issue,” he said while speaking in an interview with Hitz FM and monitored by GhanaWeb.

Frank Fiifi Gharbin also called on Martha Ankomah to feature in the movie they are shooting to let people know that she has no bad intent towards the Kumawood.

“Because of this, I want Martha Ankomah to feature in the movie to foster Ghana and Nigeria’s collaboration in the movie industry. In the movie we are shooting we are using Ghana and Nigeria acts so I would like her to come and partake in it,” he stated.

Recently, LilWin spoke furiously and fumed about why Martha Ankomah rejected his request to feature in a movie and slammed her for disrespecting Kumawood’s movie.

“Martha, those who are richer than you are rather humble and respect themselves a lot. Do you honestly call yourself a star? Who knows you? What do you have?

“I don’t even know why GTP bypassed the likes of McBrown, Mercy Asiedu and co, and made Martha Ankomah their brand ambassador. The likes of Van Vicker, Roselyn Ngissah and co, do not do these things. They even work with us. They shoot Kumawood movies. I’m still amazed that you made such statements, were you drunk?”

He continued, “Patience Ozorkwor came to Kumasi to shoot a movie. Aki and Pawpaw, Mr. Ibu, and the rest came down to shoot a movie here. But for people like you, who call yourselves refined actors; how many times do these Nigerians come to Ghana to shoot movies? They are the ones who rather send for you guys.”

Meanwhile, Martha Ankomah is yet to respond to LilWin’s claims for rejecting to act in the Kumawood.

Since the issue became public, social media has been buzzing with wild reactions with some netizens sharing their opinions on LilWin’s public outburst.

I Never Said I Performed Fake Miracles – Obinim

0

The leader and founder of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim has debunked assertions that he once said he performs fake miracles to get the attention of the public.

According to him, he has never said anywhere that the miracles he performs are not as genuine as they appear stating that he is baffled such false claims are being peddled in the media.

He also indicated that he has not claimed anywhere that his church has collapsed but rather his words were twisted and misunderstood by some individuals.

Bishop Daniel Obinim urged the general public to disregard reports that the miracles he performs in his church are fake, adding that it is an attempt by some people to mar his image.

“I talked about some claims people are making about me saying ‘I am a fake pastor, my miracles were not genuine, my church has collapsed’ and a whole lot of things. I don’t want to talk about it but I know it’s my enemies who are twisting my words to bring me down and denigrate my image.

“Some pastors used to work with me and are behind this. I have never said it anywhere that I am a quack pastor or perform fake miracles, never. Yet people are putting words in my mouth and saying all kinds of things,” he said while preaching to his congregants and shared by OB TV.

It will be recalled that Bishop Daniel Obinim lamented about the predicament his ministry finds itself in due to certain acts that he regret doing.

He also indicated that his feud with Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) , Kennedy Agyapong had negative effects on his ministry.

“I used to have more than 1000 congregants, but when I met in church, I didn’t even get 200 members. I wondered why I fought with him [Ken Agyapong] at all. That’s why I am advising you all: if someone wants to fight you, assess your strength and that of the person and never try to fight.

“I am not even done with the story of Hon Kennedy Agyapong and my fight with him. The day I was taken to court, I took seven lawyers, and they told me to bring 2 billion old cedis before they went to face Kennedy Agyapong because he had money. The kind of things I went through, I realized I was down.”

Reports were rife that Obinim claimed his church had collapsed and some of his miracles were not authentic, however, he believes his words were misunderstood by the public.

Women Can Wear Trousers – Be Wise With Learning The Bible – Agradaa Fires

0

Evangelist Mama Pat popularly known as Nana Agradaa has chided persons who are criticizing her for wearing trousers to church and claims that it’s not appropriate.

According to her, individuals who claim to be staunch Christians should come out and give her a quotation to back their claims instead of insulting her for wearing trousers to church.

She argued that the bible frowns upon a woman wearing attire meant for men, however, if the trousers she wears can be worn by women, then it is not a sin as claimed by some persons.

Speaking in a TikTok live monitored by GhanaWeb, Nana Agradaa challenged her critics to come out with precise Bible quotations to support their claims and stop raining insults on her.

She said that Apostle Oko Hackman gave her some Bible quotations but they didn’t address the issue specifically.

“I shared a video to challenge most Christians who are criticizing the wearing of trousers to church. I have seen a lot of messages on my page but I was expecting the people to give me the exact quotation which says women should not wear trousers to church. I’ve made you know that when apply wisdom and knowledge when you’re learning the bible.

“I saw Oko Hackman citing Ecclesiastes 2:3 and 10:13 but when I read it, he was casting insinuation instead of addressing the issue. The Bible tells me that women should wear their outfits and not that of men. So if I wear a trouser that is meant for women, it is not a sin. So the so-called Christians who are insulting me, I don’t care, come out and give the quotation to back your claims,” she said.

Nana Agradaa was criticized after she wore a pair of trousers to preach in her congregation.

Some netizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the way she appears in the house of God advising her to stop.

I used to fight karate on the streets before my encounter with God – Akesse Brempong

0

Ghanaian gospel musician, Akesse Brempong has opened up about his reluctance to become a pastor and how he eventually accepted God’s call into the ministry.

In an exclusive interview with Joy Prime’s Celeb Biz, the ‘Victory’ hitmaker said that he was not interested in the ministry when he first heard God’s voice calling him.

He described himself as a “funky young man” who did not find the ministry appealing or attractive.

“I was a funky young man, and at the time, pastoring wasn’t that funky. When you hear about pastors, you’ll see people in cassocks, some with long chains.

“I wasn’t so amused by the kind of pastors I was seeing. It wasn’t something I wanted to be until I came in contact with Precious Hayman,” he said.

He said that before his encounter with God in Kumasi, he was into gang violence and had engaged in fights.

“Before I had my encounter with God in high school, I was in primary school, I was the rowdy boy leading gangs in Kumasi. I was quite into it.

“I had done some karate, and of course, if you do karate as a young man, you have to show some skills and break some legs. We’ve done all that until my encounter in high school.”

Akesse Brempong then revealed that he had a personal encounter with God at the age of 17 when he was in high school.

“My mother told me that there were prophetic words that had gone ahead of me while I was in the womb about my destiny and all of that, but she was never keen about it.

Akesse Brempong went on to become a gospel recording artiste in 2014. He rose to fame with his hit single ‘Crazy Love’, which won him the Discovery of the Year 2014 award at the Africa Gospel Music Awards UK

He is married to Benedicta Akesse-Brempong and they have two children. He is also a lecturer at the Department of Communication, Pentecost University, Ghana.

Obinim ‘attacks’ Kwame Despite’s UTV for publishing fake news about him

0

The founder of International God’s Way church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has lambasted persons in charge of United Television (UTV) for publishing fake news about him.

According to him, had it not been for the fact that Dr. Ofori Sarpong, who happens to be his relative is a close ally to the owner of UTV, Osei Kwame Despite, he would have taken action against the media entity for tarnishing his image.

He stated that there was a time when UTV published news about him from a video that was sent to them by an unknown individual but they refused to contact him on the issue and they went ahead to broadcast it.

In a video shared by OB TV and posted by entertainment blogger, Zionfelix, Bishop Daniel Obinim expressed his dismay at employees of UTV for publishing fake news about him without listening to his side of the story.

“I know UTV published fake news about me. If not for the fact that Dr. Ofori Sarpong, who is my brother and a family member who comes before my mother, I would have dealt with UTV ruthlessly. I know he is a friend of Kwame Despite too that’s why.

“How can you publish things I have not said because of a video you had without contacting me to find out me first? They are aware that Ofori Sarpong is my brother so they could have even called him to confirm but they didn’t,” he fumed.

In making his claims, Bishop Daniel Obinim did not pinpoint the particular news that UTV published about him that was not true and marred his image.

Obinim has recently taken on persons and some of the media outlets that publish news about him that he deems were not true but were meant to attack his personality.

UTV is yet to respond to Obinim’s claims of fake news being published about him.

Why Daughters of Glorious Jesus don’t apply for awards

0

Popular Ghanaian Gospel music trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, have revealed that they have never applied for the Ghana Music Awards (GMA) since their major win in 2004.

In a live studio chat on Joy Prime, they said that their main purpose as gospel singers is to spread God’s word through music and transform people’s lives, not to win awards.

“You have to go pick up a form and fill it out, but we don’t bother with that. We are more focused on winning souls for Christ than winning awards. So I will not say that the awards are good or not.

“That is not what we are thinking of right now, because our calling is unique, and if you allow yourself to get distracted, you will deviate. So we are focused,” they said.

They, however, said that they would not buy forms to fill out, but they would still attend the event if they were nominated by a third party.

“If you want to do it for us, just go ahead and pick it; we’re fine,” they said.

The sisters also disclosed that they have received many awards from different parts of the world in various award schemes without applying for them.
