Mahama Is Coming to Correct All Your Errors – Nii Lante Vanderpuye to Nana Addo

0

MP for Odododiodoo, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, has voiced his disapproval of President Akufo-Addo’s handling of national affairs, suggesting that an apology to Ghanaians could be necessary due to the President’s neglect of the people’s needs, which has led to widespread hardship.
Vanderpuye’s remarks came in response to Akufo-Addo’s call for Ghanaians to reject former President John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, in the upcoming December elections.

Akufo-Addo argued that voting for Mahama would jeopardize the progress made under his administration and endanger the nation’s future.

However, Vanderpuye argued that Akufo-Addo lacks the moral authority to criticize Mahama, asserting that Akufo-Addo’s performance could brand him as the worst President in Ghana’s history.

He suggested that Akufo-Addo’s administration has been marred by corruption and economic decline, implying that Mahama would be better suited to address these issues.

Vanderpuye stated, “If I were Nana Addo, the best thing I would do as a person is to apologise to the millions of Ghanaians who voted for me and whom I have hugely disappointed. Nana Addo will go into history as the worst President ever in the Fourth Republic of this country. Worst President ever because he is the most corrupt president in our history.”

“He is the one who has collapsed our economy. Ghana’s economy today is worse than at any time in our history. Is that the legacy he is talking about? Of course, John Mahama will come and correct all,

Don’t vote for Mahama, he will destroy whatever I’ve done – Nana Addo.

President Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to reject John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, as their choice in the upcoming December elections.

He cautioned that voting for the former President could jeopardize the progress achieved during his administration and undermine the nation’s trajectory.

Speaking to a crowd at a mini rally in Doboro, Greater Accra, following his visit to Blue Skies Limited, President Akufo-Addo reiterated his endorsement of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the preferred candidate for the presidency.

“This is our election year and the limited registration has started. Anybody who hasn’t registered and is eligible should go and register. This is because your right to vote is your power.

“Also, when the time is up for the voting, our job is simple. The person I defeated and my work since I took over, seems not to please him, I cannot hand over power to such a person. He will destroy whatever we have done when he comes.”

“I am pleading with you to vote for the person I have worked with for the past seven and half years. I have faith in him and I know that he will come and continue the work I have begun as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission has commenced a nationwide limited registration exercise for individuals who turned eighteen, running from May 7 to May 20.

Medikal Chooses O2 Arena for Next London Show: Here’s Why

Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, professionally known as Medikal, has announced that his upcoming show in London will be at the O2 arena following a sold-out performance at the Indigo O2. The ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker had a successful show at the 2,750-capacity venue on May 3, 2024. Speaking in a phone interview with MzGee on United Showbiz, he disclosed that the number of fans who couldn’t enter exceeded those who attended, prompting him to seek a larger venue.

Medikal stated, “My fans didn’t come on time and I don’t blame them. Some people went to work and their off time didn’t favor the show. All these are lessons learnt. I now know that the next time I will play a show in London it will be a very big venue because this venue was too small for the show I had. I honestly had no idea it will happen like it did. We would’ve opted for a bigger venue but at the end of the day we had a good show.”

Reflecting on the experience, Medikal expressed surprise at the turnout and emphasized the need for a bigger venue to accommodate his enthusiastic fanbase. He noted that many fans missed out due to the venue’s limited capacity and expressed disappointment at their inability to attend.

He added, “For this recent event, the patrons who had to stand outside were way more than the ones who got the chance to come in which is very bad because most of my fans in London wanted to see my performance. I was hurt that some people couldn’t enter.”

When asked about the next London show, he confirmed it would be at the O2 arena to ensure everyone can enjoy the performance without overcrowding issues. He stated, “The next venue I’ll play a show in London will be the O2 Arena because we need a very big stage so that everyone will be able to come and have fun. I wouldn’t want people to rush to the event only to stand outside.”

The O2 arena has a capacity of 20,000 people.

Medikal Opens Up About Early End to Indigo O2 Concert

Rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, professionally known as Medikal, has recently addressed concerns regarding the timing of his Indigo O2 concert in London and the performances of fellow musicians who traveled to support him.

In a phone interview with MzGee on United Showbiz, he stated, “You see, a lot of people underestimate Medikal as a brand. Right now. I am talking about Medikal as a company. This is Samuel talking to you about the company. At the end of the day, the way we promoted this event, it was only right that people came up in their numbers. They ended up coming late and it made the show delay because here they work with time.”

He elaborated on the necessity of ending the show promptly, mentioning, “We were supposed to end the show at 11.00. We would have paid more money if we had exceeded the agreed time by about 300,000 pounds. I am a poor person and I don’t have that kind of money. I will get money only after the show. I wasn’t ready to go through that process of paying money for breaching the contract or an agreement.”

Medikal expressed regret over fans missing out on the event, saying, “My fans didn’t come on time and I don’t blame them. Some people went to work and their off time didn’t favor the show. All these are lessons learned. I now know that the next time I will do play a show in London it will be a very big venue because this venue was too small for the show I had. I honestly had no idea it will happen like it did. We would’ve opted for a bigger venue but at the end of the day we had a good show.”

He concluded by revealing his plans for future events, stating, “The next venue I’ll play a show in London will be the O2 Arena because we need a very big stage so that everyone will be able to come and have fun. I wouldn’t want people to rush to the event only to stand outside. For this recent event, the patrons who had to stand outside were way more than the ones who got the chance to come in which is very bad because most of my fans in London wanted to see my performance. I was hurt that some people couldn’t enter.”

We’re keeping Drake away from the car show because kids are welcome – Rick Ross

Rick Ross recently took a critical stance towards Drake regarding his response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “The Heart Part 6,” particularly focusing on Drake’s handling of allegations of pedophilia. Ross shared a series of videos on Instagram shortly after the song’s release, resuming his criticisms of his former friend turned adversary.

In his posts, Ross mocked Drake’s lyrics from the track, particularly a line referencing Ross’s private jet crash landing. He then expressed disapproval over Drake’s denial of the pedophilia accusations, urging him to choose his words more carefully on such a serious matter.

“Just heard that new BBL Drizzy. The diss! The bomb! ‘I’ll hold your head up, cut it off like Rick Ross and hold it up. Himalayas! Anastacia! Fantasia!’” Rozay said with a laugh. “Cupcake, man, you looking bad. You might as well go on Maury Povich and tell your story.”

He then expressed disapproval over Drake’s denial that he’s a pedophile, saying: “I just wanna make this clear, white boy. You said if you was fucking young girls you’d promise you would have been arrested. Whoever wrote that for you should have put more thought into that. “White boy, it’s your writers. Whatever message you translated to them, that wasn’t the way they was supposed to do that. And as a writer, went it come to pedophilia, you gotta remove yourself from that. White boy, that wasn’t the line right there.”

Ross also mentioned the possibility of excluding Drake from his upcoming car show due to his background, alluding to the seriousness of the allegations.

“We keeping Drake away from the car show ’cause the kids are welcome. Nobody with that background — no! — shall be allowed on the Promise Landpremises.”

In response, Drake defended himself against Lamar’s claims on “The Heart Part 6,” vehemently denying any involvement with underage individuals. He defended his integrity and refuted any association with illegal activities.

This exchange forms part of an ongoing feud between the two rappers, with Ross leveling further accusations against Drake, including claims of plastic surgery. In response, Drake shared a text conversation with his mother, dismissing Ross’s claims as a result of erratic behavior.

The ongoing tension between Rick Ross and Drake continues to unfold, both in their music and on social media, leaving fans eager for the next development in this hip-hop rivalry.

Some people have blacklisted me in the industry – Lord Paper

Afrobeats musician Michael Takyi-Frimpong, better known by his stage name Lord Paper, is still grappling with the aftermath of a controversial music video shot nine years ago.

The video, released in 2016 for his song ‘Ewurama,’ featured explicit content that stirred up significant controversy and criticism within the country. Despite apologizing to the industry and learning from the backlash, Lord Paper reveals that he is still facing repercussions.

In an interview with Accra-based Metro TV, he shares that he has been blacklisted by some media houses and denied opportunities to promote his music. While acknowledging that some outlets have been supportive, he feels that the industry as a whole is not backing his career.

“The industry doesn’t love and show me love. I feel like if the project is very good, I don’t have to be in your faces. The industry as a whole. I won’t say everybody because some people are showing me love.

“The reason why I am saying this is because I have been to places where I am going to promote my music and they won’t let me in and I have been to places where later I become friends with some of the people who work there and they tell me that in this place you have been blacklisted and that they don’t want us to play your songs,”he disclosed.

Lord Paper expresses frustration at being judged solely for his past actions, emphasizing that he has since apologized, learned from his mistakes, and produced quality music as a form of remorse. He questions the fairness of continuing to face repercussions for a video he created years ago, especially considering his efforts to grow and move forward as an artist.

“I have no idea, I don’t know if it’s still because of the video and if it’s that I feel like it’s not fair in the sense that I was criticized in all manner.

“I went home, did my homework and dropped a lot of songs and some of them made a lot of sense and so from there do you still have to use that thing to judge me, it makes no sense,” he added.

Ayisi Explains the Reason for Changing His Name from A.I.

Musician Ayisi, formerly known as A.I., recently clarified his decision to change his stage name.

He explained that the abbreviation “A.I.” is often associated with Artificial Intelligence, causing confusion within the music industry. Speaking on TV3’s New Day on May 1, Ayisi stressed that various interpretations of his stage name prompted him to provide clarity.

He expressed concerns that amidst the prevalence of “A.I.” in different contexts, his identity as an artist might be overshadowed. Ayisi also revealed that “A.I.” was simply a shortened version of his full name, Ayisi, which he felt needed explanation.

“Nowadays everything is A.I. so it was suggested that you know the artist will get lost in all that…there were incredible names, Adenta Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and all that so I thought that the artiste will get lost in all that,”he explained.
