Radio presenter threatens to sue FDA and Gaming Commission if…

Vision 1 FM presenter, Kwame OB Nartey has supported the Food and Drugs Authority and Gaming Commission’s directive restricting celebrities on advertising for alcoholic and betting companies.

FDA took the lead with its directive some months ago.

The Gaming Commission also followed suit by asking betting companies not to use celebrities or people with huge followers on social media to entice others to gamble.

A lot of Ghanaian celebrities expressed their displeasure about these directives.

But Kwame OB Nartey sees it as a measure that will help the country in protecting its youth from some uncultured behaviours.

Sharing his view on the development, OB Nartey stated that he will sue these institutions if they rescind their decisions due to the pressure from the public figures.

He wrote: “I will personally sue the Gaming Commission and FDA if they rescind their decision on banning Celebrities from endorsing Betting ventures and Alcoholic brands.

“We’re already fighting and struggling with sexual immorality, this won’t add up to the battle. Ghana has a culture and heritage built on moral principles. We all loosing the youth of this nation. Arise Ghana youth for your country!!!!! #SayNo2BETnAlcoholEndorsement.”
