Upper East Region Accounting to the People Tour begins

The Upper East Region takes its turn in the nationwide ‘Accounting to the People’ tour of President John Dramani Mahama.

The tour unveils development projects undertaken by the current National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The tour, which began in the Western Region, has already gone to all but the Northern Region of the country.

The two-day tour of the Upper East Region will begin on Monday, July 11 with a sod-cutting ceremony at Tilli/Zebilla for the Bolgatanga-Bawku Road.

President Mahama and his entourage will also inspect ongoing works at the Bawku Water Project.

The delegation will in the afternoon of Monday, July 11 cut sod for the construction of the Tamme Dam before a courtesy call is paid on the Bawku Naba.

The final programme for the day will see the president and his team interact with the clergy at the regional capital of Bolgatanga.
