Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif performed at the 2023 Wireless Festival in London, which has sparked social media debate over his popularity.
In a video that has gone viral, Black Sherif can be seen struggling to engage the crowd, who appear to be largely indifferent to his performance.
Some fans have suggested that the crowd simply did not understand Black Sherif’s songs, as they were performed in Twi, a Ghanaian language.
Others have argued that Black Sherif simply did not perform well, and that this was the first time he had “flopped” in front of a live audience.
Regardless of the reason for the crowd’s reaction, Black Sherif’s performance at Wireless has certainly generated a lot of discussion.
It remains to be seen whether this will have a negative impact on his career, or whether he will be able to bounce back from this setback. Other musicians who performed at the festival include Travis Scott, 50 Cent, Popcaan, and Metro Boomin.
