Afua Asantewaa Breaks Silence: Reveals Why She Stayed Silent on GWR Results

Media personality, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has once again responded to concerns about withholding the results of her Guinness World Records singing attempt.
Before this, she discussed the matter in a Facebook post, stating: “The news of the outcome of my Sing-a-thon attempt came few minutes as I was preparing to host a gala dinner and the launch of the Lebanese Scholarship Alumni Network attended by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”

Afua promised to announce her next steps, thanking supporters and noting, “When life hands you lemons, turn them to lemonade. Success is sweetest when snatched out of the jaws of defeat.”

In an interview with GHOne TV, Afua explained, “I’d have still shared with Ghanaians anyways.” She highlighted her strong personality and commitment to transparency, stating, “I don’t think I disappointed. Everybody has his or her notions, and we live in an era where when one person sparks up something, it catches fire without the actual victim given the opportunity to express his or herself.”

She further addressed the delay, stating, “I spoke about a miscommunication with GWR. It had to do with my login account. I don’t have access so, as I sit here, I don’t have an official document to even post on my social media that this is my disqualification letter.”

Afua acknowledged the disappointment in not hearing the news directly from her and apologized, saying, “It’s beyond my control, and I know that in due time or at the right time, they’ll get to understand and believe my story.”
