Entertainment critic Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has criticized Shatta Wale for insulting him after expressing his views on Afua Asantewaa’s actions.
Arnold criticized Asantewaa for not promptly sharing her Singing marathon results, highlighting the potential impact on her credibility with brands. Shatta Wale, in response, insulted Arnold, accusing him of consistently speaking nonsense and being against Afua’s source of income.
Arnold, in a Facebook response, addressed Shatta Wale directly, pointing out instances where he had previously praised Asantewaa without objection. He criticized Shatta Wale’s selective acknowledgment of positive aspects and raised concerns about the acceptability of such behavior by serious brands in Ghana.
In a fiery quote, Arnold stated, “Charles Nii Armah Mensah, in fact, you are the foolish one, Gyimii! When I penned a positive article about her, I didn’t see your commentary. When I passed glowing tributes about her on TV, I didn’t see you barking like a dog! You and your ilk have the heart to accommodate ‘positives’ but you despise perceived ‘negatives’. Ebi Ghana, anka which serious brand would tolerate your tomfoolery? Gyae gyimie nu!”
