Covid-19 cases in Ghana have gone up spreading to 5 regions as Eastern region
record its first case, Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu has said.
According to him, Eastern region is the latest region to join the race of regions
with confirmed cases of covid-19.
Breaking it down, the Minister said, the Greater Accra Region has confirmed cases
of 174, Northern region has recorded 10, Ashanti Region has recorded 9 cases,
while Upper East and Eastern Regions had 1 case each.
He said 4,560 people had been tested for the virus and out of it, 195 tested
positive for covid-19.
A test conducted on 38 patients out of the 195 people proved negative and they
have been discharged.
Mr. Agyemang Manu added that the death toll still stands at 5 and 3 people have
recovered.
