Families finally agree on Daasebre Dwamena’s burial


Legendary highlife musician Daasebre Dwamena is set to be buried on November 26.

The contemporary highlife music legend died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra Friday, July 29 after a short illness.

An initial disagreement over who had the right to bury him has been resolved with his Koforidua-based patrilineal family agreeing to release the body to the singer’s Amoabo-based matrilineal family.

The ‘Kokooko’ hitmaker’s matrilineal family agreed on November 26 as the new burial date in a meeting on Wednesday, October 19.
