FBI Visits EOCO for Forensic Investigation Assistance

FBI officials from the Chicago Field Office recently embarked on a working visit to Ghana, specifically to meet with COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), along with the EOCO management team.
The purpose of their visit was to collaborate on ongoing forensic investigations. The decision by EOCO to initiate lifestyle audits targeting individuals with questionable wealth, announced on February 23, 2024, was prompted by a recent guilty plea in a $2 million romance scam case involving socialite , Mona Faiz Montrage, also known as Hajia4reall.
During the meeting held on February 20, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah provided the FBI team with an overview of EOCO’s mandate and highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two institutions in terms of investigative collaborations.
She assured the FBI officials of EOCO’s keenness to work together again on the ongoing investigations.
