Kwaw Kesse has revealed in an interview that, he has been depressed for the past 10 years. He said this during an interview in the 3Music studio for the Culture Daily show.
Fans may have realized that the original king of the street has been having an up-and-down stretch in the past few years. Kwaw, who earned 5 Ghanan Music Awards, also topped it with Artist of the Year in 2008.
He admitted going through a nose dive after the brutal murder of his manager Fennec Okyere. “I went on hibernation and it had to do with everything happening around that time” “For 10 years I have been depressed”
Kwaw however has said, he feels after 10 years, it was time to let go. Kwaw said his New Year resolve was to make a promise to himself with a big comeback.
Concerning seeking justice for the death of his manager, kwaw said he rather became a victim of the system when he suffered a jail term for something that didn’t make sense to him.
