Foster Romanus opens up on Choosing Privacy in Marriage

Comedian Foster Romanus, professionally known as Foster Owusu Amponsah, has shared insights into his decision to keep his marriage private, citing concerns about potential disrespect towards his wife amid the intrusive scrutiny faced by public figures in the entertainment industry.

In a discussion on Eddie Nartey’s Podcast, Romanus explained, “Because of the attention that it comes with, and then I’ve seen a couple of weddings where people tend to disrespect your choice. The person you think is best for you then that person thinks what is wrong with you? Why this choice? I didn’t want my wife to go through that.”

He made it clear that keeping his wife happy and maintaining the privacy of their relationship was crucial, which is why they chose to have a private wedding.
Romanus underscored that the inherent publicity of his career doesn’t provide a license for intrusion into his personal life, demonstrating a deliberate approach to handling the challenges of fame, where the spotlight can obscure the distinction between public and private realms.
