I am completely out of politics; I am Ghanaian – Kwabena Kwabena

Highlife artist Kwabena Kwabena announced that he no longer associates with any political party during an interview on TV3’s New Day on February 9.

Despite actively supporting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the past, campaigning in 2016, and creating a campaign song in 2008, he emphasized his current disengagement from politics, stating, “I am completely out of politics. I am Ghanaian.”

The NPP government has faced criticism for its economic management, leading to dissatisfaction among individuals who were once affiliated with the party.
On February 7, 2024, the NPP’s Flagbearer and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia addressed Ghanaians about his vision for the country if elected President.

However, skepticism has been expressed by many Ghanaians regarding the viability of his policies, given concerns about the current state of the economy under the government’s watch.

Apart from Kwabena Kwabena, Akwaboah has revealed his decision not to partake in this year’s election, similar to his choice four years ago.
