Ghanaian artist Kurl Songx recently talked about his music journey, sharing that he looks back at his old songs to learn and improve.
In a chat with Andy Dosty on Hit FM’s Daybreak Hitz, he explained, “Mostly, I listen to my old songs so it gives me a view of what I’m up to now. That is the main reason and I enjoy them as well.
He compared it to personal growth, saying, “As humans we grow, so songs that I made some time back, maybe if I am approaching it today, I will approach it differently. It could be even the singing or the writing, it depends on the song, and they all come into play.”
Standing out from the crowd, the singer said, “I choose to be different, and that’s because it’s like everyone is going in this direction, though it would take some time, I choose to be different, so I don’t follow the same line. I know it will take time, but because I am doing good music, and I am not following trends, I know one day, they (the people) will get to understand me.”
Kiel Songx encouraged patience saying, “Sometimes, you will want to be in people’s faces but I believe when you are following a good cause, it all takes time. Not every success is a scam and that’s what I believe in.”
