Artist, Kurl Songx, also known as Kelvin Agyekum, shared the emotional inspiration behind his latest track “911.”
He revealed that the song’s genesis lies in a heartbreak from a previous relationship. During this period, he took drastic actions, such as selling his air conditioner out of frustration.
According to Kurl Songx, the title “911” signifies the depth of his broken heart, explaining, “My new song is titled 911 because I have gotten a broken heart — to the extent that I have sold my air conditioner. As for a broken heart, some people dey chop, so for me to sell my air conditioner, it means I have truly been broken.”
The artist disclosed that the source of his heartbreak is a popular TikTok influencer, choosing to keep her identity private. Despite their private relationship, Kurl expressed the pain of her departure, stating, “She is popular on TikTok, therefore, when she left me, it pained me. In my circle, yes, for someone who likes to keep his things private, it was kept between us.”
Despite making attempts to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend, Kurl Songx lamented that all efforts proved unsuccessful, adding a poignant layer to the narrative of his latest musical creation.
