Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah extended help to some victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage at Mepe in the Volta region by sponsoring them in vocational skills as part of her 40th birthday celebrations.
The multiple award-winning actress is known for always making donations on her birthday as the people of Mepe have benefited in a life-transforming way from the 40th birthday celebration
Speaking to Zionfelix in a recent interview, Jackie revealed that she has sponsored weeks of intensive vocational and technical skills training in diverse fields, including catering, metal works, hairdressing, fashion designing, cosmetology, tie and dye production, and cake crafts for the victims.
Jackie explained that training these kids is better than giving them money because the money will go to waste and they won’t be able to make any good use of it.
But enrolling them in training schools will equip them with the necessary tools they need for their future.
