MOG says he’s prepared to share his connections with other musicians

Gospel artist and songwriter Nana Yaw Boakye, popularly known as MOG Music, has expressed his willingness to support fellow musicians by leveraging his connections to promote Ghanaian music.

As a seasoned singer and pastor, he underscores the importance of Ghanaian music reaching a global audience. MOG Music emphasized his success in penetrating the American music market, which he regards as the pinnacle of music promotion.

“It is the highest pinnacle of marketing when it comes to music, and I think it will be a great thing to have a Ghanaian on that turf and also bring along some Ghanaians to showcase the quality of music we have here in Ghana,” he stated in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

MOG Music also shared his encounter with renowned American gospel figure Donnie McClurkin and how McClurkin has positively impacted his life. He revealed that collaborating with McClurkin on ‘Be Lifted’ opened doors to connections with other gospel artists such as Cece Winans, Israel Houghton, and the Winans Brothers.

Furthermore, MOG divulged his plans to launch Levites Records, a record label aimed at signing emerging gospel talents. He expressed his aspiration for Ghanaian gospel artists to flourish and stressed his intention to judiciously share his connections to avoid any misinterpretations.

He stated, “I just started a record label called Levites Records and I want to sign some of the up-and-coming gospel musicians. I want Ghanaian gospel musicians to grow. I think we have that the world should hear. I want to share my connections calculatedly so that nobody will come and pour sand into my gari.”
