NDC promises to ensure the growth of the creative art industry if voted into power

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by Ex-President John Dramani Mahama and Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang have declared their readiness to implement programmes that will facilitate the development of the creative art industry in Ghana.

During the launch of its 2020 manifesto titled ‘The People’s Manifesto’, the party said the programmes that they will implement will support the growth of the film, music and the creative industry to drive job creation and economic growth.

Resourcing nationally recognized creative arts bodies like the Ghana Association of Writers, MUSIGHA, National Film Authority, Ghana Union of Visual Arts (GUVA) among others were captured in the manifesto.

The NDC party also promised to make scholarship packages for disadvantage creative artistes to pursue courses or programmes for self-development in the national interest if given the mandate to govern the country.
