During a segment of the ‘Say Less’ podcast on LynxPlay, Yankson questioned conventional notions surrounding marriage and closely examined its purported benefits, particularly for men. He raised doubts about the widespread belief that marriage primarily advantages men, particularly regarding the financial benefits it supposedly provides them.

Yankson expanded on the intricate obligations and anticipations that come with modern marriages, hinting that these could at times surpass the perceived benefits, particularly for men.

“If I am being practical and I’m assessing things based on a simple cost benefit cases, it is hard to see how marriage benefits a man especially if you are comparing it to how its benefits a woman,”he stated.

The broadcaster further questioned the exclusive advantages enjoyed by married men compared to those who are single. He presented a challenge to his audience, inquiring, “What are the things a married man can do or possess that a single man cannot? Name just one, and I’ll concede my point.”

Court summons have surfaced, indicating the arrest of two individuals who are assisting authorities in pursuing Henry Fitz. Fitz is suspected of involvement in blackmail, extortion, and the dissemination of Serwaa Amihere’s private images.

In response to the unfolding situation, there has been a surge of public opinion on social media. Some users are advocating for the EIB network to remove Amihere from her on-air duties, while others are suggesting that she be suspended indefinitely.

Responding to the situation, the EIB Network released a comprehensive statement via its social media platforms, acknowledging the gravity of the matter and announcing its decision to initiate an internal investigation.

“Management of EIB Network has noted with concern the circulation of a private video purported to be one of our employees, Serwaa Amihere, who is a broadcast journalist with GHOne TV,” the statement reads.

“We are also aware that criminal proceedings have been instituted by the State against certain persons who are alleged to have published the said video. This has delayed our public comment on this issue. Management has also decided to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the release of the said video.”

Furthermore, the EIB Network has committed to transparency by announcing its intention to publish the findings of its independent investigation once concluded.

“The Company will accordingly publish the findings of the independent investigation as soon as same is completed and further measures will be taken thereafter,” the statement concludes.

Following his release on bail with a sum of GH₵120,000 and two sureties on April 9, Funny Face paused to contemplate the circumstances surrounding his arrest on March 24th. This arrest came after he was involved in a drunk driving incident that led to an accident with five pedestrians.

In an emotional interview with Kofi TV, Funny Face shared, “I have caused problems for myself. All that I went through, I cannot blame anybody. I am the major cause of my problem. At times you do things and people get tired of your actions, that is the level I have gotten to but nobody will understand what you are going through.

“Not everyone can survive what I have been through, If I have been able to go through all these unfortunate events and God has kept me alive, I thank Ghanaians. In this life it is only God.”

He continued, “I feel like cleansing myself with the sea and speak to Jehovah one-on-one. I felt I should come and do this to give Glory to God. I have to do this to speak to God and ask him to give me back the favor he gave me…Ghanaians should forgive me and give me another chance.”
