Medikal Conceals Fella’s Name Tattoo Amidst Divorce Rumors

0

Beyond Kontrol boss Medikal has covered up his ex-wife’s name tattooed on his left arm amidst the recent commotion surrounding his divorce from Fella Makafui.

Earlier, the rapper adorned his skin with tattoos showcasing both Fella’s name and that of their daughter, Island Frimpong, representing Fella and Island. Moreover, they both sported matching tattoos of two half faces of a lion on their respective arms, symbolizing their union.

However, following their separation, Medikal has opted to obscure Fella’s name by completely shading it, resembling a sort of barcode, while retaining their daughter’s name. He posted a snapshot of the updated tattoo on Snapchat shortly after publicly announcing their divorce.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, March 30, 2024, Medikal clarified that Fella is now his “baby mother” and emphasized their current status as co-parents to their daughter. This clarification came in response to being tagged as “Medikal’s wife” in a social media post, where he sought to clarify their evolving relationship dynamic.

Medikal has been particularly vocal on social media lately, sparking speculation about his well-being. However, some fans speculate that his increased activity is simply a strategy to generate excitement for his upcoming concert, “Medikal Live in London,” happening at Indigo at the O2 on 3rd May.

In a recent update on X, he suggested that there are more significant revelations on the way, pledging to reveal them after he’s done with the concert. This announcement seeks to counter the perception that all his recent posts are solely promotional for his album.

Music star OlivetheBoy, whose real name is Joel Ofori Bonsu, has opened up about his relationship with his father, a Presbyterian pastor.

Despite their different worlds—one in music and the other in ministry—OlivetheBoy revealed that his father not only supports his music but also loves his songs.

During an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, OlivetheBoy revealed that he hails from a family grounded in discipline and principles, with his mother being a teacher and his father a man of God. Despite this upbringing, OlivetheBoy faced initial resistance from his family due to their religious background when he ventured into music. Expectations were for him to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a career in the ministry. However, he discovered his passion for music, leading to initial friction within his family.

“My parents initially did not support me when I started music. When I dropped my first song, I was supposed to be in school by then. My mum called me and asked why I used my class period to record music, she wanted to get me arrested.

“You know people have the perception that students who pursue music after completing school are koborlor,” he explained.

As OlivetheBoy’s music gained traction, he observed his father developing an affinity for his songs, particularly favoring his breakthrough track, ‘Goodsin’. Likewise, OlivetheBoy’s mother softened towards his musical pursuits, impressed by his commitment and talent. She even attended one of his concerts and enthusiastically joined him on stage.

According to him, his parents now offer support, though they have implemented restrictions on the lifestyles he can pursue and defined certain boundaries he must adhere to.

The Chief Magistrate Court situated in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, Nigeria, has summoned five individuals accused of criminally defaming gospel artist Mercy Chinwo and her spouse, Blessed Uzochikwa, on social media.

Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna has instructed Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, DJ Spoiltkid, Terrence Ekot, and Samuel Agozie to personally appear on April 23, 2024.

The claims originated from social media posts that went viral last week, questioning the parentage of the couple’s child. Mercy Chinwo and her husband’s legal representatives lodged the complaint, accusing the defendants of cyber intimidation, spreading false information, and cyberstalking, all allegedly violating penal and cybercrime laws.

The complainants contend that the defendants deliberately harmed their reputation with defamatory content, leading to significant repercussions both locally and globally. Magistrate Emmanuel Iyanna has mandated the defendants to face the charges in court later this month.

Furthermore, the complaint specifies that Nathaniel Bassey was erroneously linked to the accusations, as the defendants suggested the possibility of him being the father of Mercy Chinwo’s child.

Prince David Osei Reveals Why He’s Confident He’ll Be Ghana’s President

Actor Prince David Osei regards his desire to become the President of Ghana as a divine calling, though initially met with skepticism from many. Despite others assuming he was joking, he firmly believes this aspiration is a bestowed gift from God.

Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z over the weekend, the actor said, “Everyone in this world has something that God gives to them. Sometimes when you speak, they say you talk big but if you don’t say it, it won’t manifest.

“It’s not even that I want to become a president, I think I have the calling, because I’ve dreamt it.

Looking back on his life’s path, he reveals that from the tender age of 14, he nurtured aspirations of leaving a substantial mark on the world, fervently seeking guidance for his future endeavors.

“What I’m doing here right now today, I dreamt it before becoming a star. I’m not joking. When I was 14 years old, I knew I was going to become somebody popular.
“I didn’t know what it was, but I started praying towards it. And in the same way, I saw the president’s vision,” he added.

He discloses that his desire to pursue the presidency wasn’t solely driven by personal ambition but was also affirmed by a prophetic message from Prophet Amoako Atta, reinforcing his conviction in his divine purpose.
He said,”when we say stuff it’s not like maybe we are drunk or I might not look like it but who are you to judge? God chooses to make anybody what he wants to make. How many years have you given yourself for this to come to fruition?”

In an Instagram post in October 2023, the actor announced his aspiration to become Ghana’s president, causing skepticism among fans and colleagues. Inspired by Barack Obama, he believed in the realization of his dream, despite receiving limited support from some friends. He acknowledged a sense of destiny towards the presidency and accepted his path.
He wrote: “No matter how hard I try to avoid the calling, everything shows I have to be the president someday, that’s why my friends in the game don’t want to support me…But what is written is written.”

Charterhouse to Unveil Seven New Award Categories for TGMA- Robert Klah Reveals

0

Public Relations Officer of Charterhouse, Robert Klah, representing the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), has announced the introduction of seven new award categories to complement the existing nominations.

These new categories include Producer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Unsung Artiste of the Year.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Klah emphasized the importance of accuracy in categories like Producer of the Year, where recognition is based on a producer’s hit songs within the year. He clarified that concerns regarding the Sound Engineer of the Year category are addressed, as it is awarded to the producer of the winning Record of the Year.

Klah stated, “Producer of the year is supposed to be based on the number of hits in a year. Because of the omission and error phase, what it means is that the numbers may change. So these categories are going to come out right after the window of omission and error, so that if there’s any correction done, it reflects in the number.”

He explained that these new categories will be announced after the errors and omissions phase, allowing for corrections to be reflected in the final nominations. This phase provides stakeholders with a one-week window to submit concerns about any errors or omissions in the nominations. Klah also mentioned upcoming categories like Unsung Artiste, Music for Good, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Traditional Artiste, totaling about seven new categories to be announced gradually.

“We also have the Unsung Artiste, which is going to be announced this week. And then there are a few others like Music for Good, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Traditional Artiste. I think about seven of them; those are going to be announced over the period,” he stated.
