The Acting Western Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Ben Kwaw is dead.
Mr. Kwaw, according to information gathered by tv3network.com, died Monday morning at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Western Regional Organiser of the NPP, Mr. Mohammed Ganiyu confirmed the unfortunate incident to Onua 95.1 FM.
Ben Kwaw had returned from his routine jogging when he complained of a heart-related problem, he said.
Family members decided to rush him to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Ganiyu later told TV3’s Midday Live that the party had even scheduled a meeting with him today. However, “on our way going, unfortunately, the news was broken to the party” he recalled.
The party, he said, has visited the deceased’s family to sympathise with them.
