Take the Children and Chew Them, I’m Tired- Funny Face to Baby Mama

0

Comedian and actor Funny Face, whose real name is Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, has once more found himself in a public dispute with his ex-partner Vanessa, sparking a fresh wave of controversy.

Taking to social media, he expressed his frustrations, feeling drained from an ongoing struggle for custody and visitation rights to his children. In a series of heartfelt posts, Funny Face opened up about the difficulties of maintaining a relationship with his kids amidst a turbulent co-parenting situation.

He revealed that after four years, Vanessa allowed him to reconnect with the children via video calls, only to suddenly cut off communication. Perplexed by Vanessa’s sudden change, he expressed his disappointment, feeling deceived by her earlier attempts at reconciliation.

In one of his Instagram posts, he lamented the challenges of being separated from his children for four years and questioned Vanessa’s sincerity, accusing her of reigniting his hope for a co-parenting arrangement only to snatch it away again. He emphasized that his calls were solely about seeing his children and expressed his determination to overcome the obstacles placed in his path.

Funny Face conveyed in an Instagram post, “In life, the most treacherous person is two-faced. Someone who changes like a chameleon. Vanessa, it’s been four years since you separated me from the kids. When I apologized to Bola Ray and he forgave me, I extended that forgiveness to you too. Then you came back, pleading for co-parenting, professing your love for me, and so on. Was it all a facade? Did you realize I wasn’t taking your words seriously? Because I knew you were insincere. You reignited my love for our kids, only to snatch them away again.
“Now you dodge my calls, claiming to be busy or asleep, or having others answer on your behalf. But my calls aren’t about you; they’re about seeing my children. Four years without them is tormenting. You know how much I adore them. After all the suffering you’ve caused me, you’re doing it again? The kids will grow up and understand what I’ve endured. No amount of influence from your family can alter their perception of me.”

In a separate post, Funny Face expressed his frustration, stating, “Take the children and chew them. I’m tired of fighting to see my own blood. I will sell my house, cars and lands and some few properties I have left and relocate to a different country and start my life all over again.”

Scientists Announce Breakthrough in HIV Eradication

0

Scientists have announced a groundbreaking advancement in HIV treatment, claiming successful eradication of the virus from infected cells using Crispr gene-editing technology, a Nobel Prize-winning innovation.

Crispr acts as molecular scissors, precisely cutting DNA to remove or inactivate problematic segments.

Although current HIV medications can impede the virus’s progression, they do not eradicate it entirely.

The University of Amsterdam team, sharing their initial findings at a recent medical conference, emphasized this constraint. They emphasized that their research, while encouraging, is still in its early phases and does not yet provide a conclusive cure for HIV.

Dr. James Dixon, an associate professor specializing in stem-cell and gene-therapy technologies at the University of Nottingham, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need for further research and validation of their findings.

“Much more work will be needed to demonstrate results in these cell assays can happen in an entire body for a future therapy.

“There will be much more development needed before this could have impact on those with HIV,” he said.

Other researchers are also exploring Crispr’s potential for combating HIV. Excision Biotherapeutics conducted a study involving three HIV-positive volunteers who experienced no significant side effects over 48 weeks of observation.

However, Dr. Jonathan Stoye from the Francis Crick Institute in London emphasized the formidable challenge of completely eliminating HIV from the body’s reservoirs. He expressed concerns about unintended side effects and long-term consequences associated with the treatment.

It may be several years before Crispr-based therapy becomes standard practice, even if its effectiveness is confirmed.

ECG Exposes Electricity Theft at Dismantled Fantasy Dome

0

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has alleged that Fantasy Entertainment, the operators of the recently dismantled Fantasy Dome at the Accra Trade Fair, engaged in electricity theft through an unauthorized connection.

The dome’s demolition exposed the illegal power hookup, triggering a fire outbreak during dismantling due to the electricians’ lack of awareness about the unauthorized connection.

In response to the incident, on-site ECG officials have urged Fantasy Dome management to provide a report to the Revenue Protection National Taskforce within 48 hours. Non-compliance could lead to legal consequences.

According to Asaase News, the revenue protection division of the ECG provided a report detailing the illegal connection carried out by the owners of the Fantasy Dome.

“You are requested, in your interest, to report within 48 hours from the date of this notice to (CSD) REVENUE PROTECTION NATIONAL TASKFORCE at ECG PROJECT OFFICE BEHIND THE VIP TRANSPORT YARD (CIRCLE), preferably between the hours of 8.00 AM and 5.00 PM to regularize your power service connection. You may bring along any relevant ECG document. EGG reserves the right to institute criminal proceedings against you at its convenience,” the report reads.

The Fantasy Dome, present since January 2018, was removed on March 16, 2024, for the ongoing Ghana International Trade Fair Center Development Project. Despite efforts by the Trade Fair Company Limited post-expiry of its tenancy agreement in December 2023, Fantasy Entertainment resisted, claiming to have an injunction which the Trade Fair Company denies.

Supervised by the Ghana Police Service and the National Security Ministry, its removal aimed to facilitate construction works for the project. Established in 1960 to boost Ghana’s trade, the Ghana Trade Fair Company is undergoing redevelopment to position Ghana as a trade hub for West Africa, with infrastructure works already underway.

“I started exercising for 15-20 mins a day before my first child Alex, at 8months old, would wake up. I was 22. How that journey started will be revealed later.

At the time, I wanted to look like Jane Fonda.  I giggle now, but it’s true. My goal was to look the best I possibly could for stage, my husband and to be energetic for my children. I wanted to be able to spend time playing football, rugby etc with my boys and running track, playing hockey, netball and basketball with my daughters.

I enrolled my 3rd child, my 7yr old son JJ, in a Taekwondo and Kickboxing class, but I enjoyed watching so much, I ended up training with him in the same class. That’s when my journey to real fitness started.

After my 5th child Cameron, my trainer encouraged me to participate in a Bodybuilding competition, in the Ms Figure category.

I was a complete novice, but I do not fear challenges. A little late to enrol and 8 weeks to train, I ate rice, potato, tuna with cayenne pepper, boiled eggs, grilled chicken and sweetcorn 5 times a day for 8 weeks. Lord, It was a gruesome diet, but a temporary discomfort for achieving the body you see in that picture. Especially after 5 children.

2001, I won Ms Figure SE, and placed 2nd in UK. My 5th child Cameron was only 1 year old.

Investing in yourself through exercise, didn’t happen overnight. It’s a gradual process that has its benefits in the long term. At 56, going on 57, the benefits is the body you see everyday in my posts.

Love yourself first, and the rest will follow.”

Ariana Grande’s Million-Dollar Divorce Deal: What She’s Paying and Why

0

Following their separation a year ago, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have officially concluded their divorce, as confirmed by the Associated Press.

The Los Angeles Superior Court finalized the dissolution of their three-year marriage on Tuesday (March 19), six months after Grande, aged 30, filed for divorce from Gomez, aged 28.

Absence of children or notable legal contentions notwithstanding, the couple, who had a prenuptial agreement, finalized the terms of their divorce in October. Nonetheless, a six-month waiting period ensued before the court’s decree could be enacted.

As per reports, Ariana Grande is set to provide Gomez with a lump sum payment of $1.25 million, forego any future alimony obligations, and apportion half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles residence to Gomez, in addition to covering up to $25,000 of his legal expenses. Irreconcilable differences were cited as the grounds for their separation in the divorce petition.

Their alleged romance commenced in early 2020 but remained under wraps until May of that year when they publicly disclosed their engagement, accompanied by a collection of images, one highlighting Grande’s engagement ring. Their wedding took place five months afterward, in May 2021. Following their split, Grande has reportedly been romantically associated with her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande’s latest album, “Eternal Sunshine,” made a remarkable debut by clinching the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart, underscoring her consistent success with a sixth consecutive chart-topping album. Simultaneously, all 12 tracks eligible for the charts from the album secured positions on the Hot 100, with “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” leading the pack by debuting at No. 1.

Court Clears Girlfriend of Late Kikibees CEO of Legal Charges

0

The Madina District Court has discharged Mam Yandey Joof, the girlfriend of the late Bennet Agyekum Adomah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kikibees Restaurant and Lounge, who was being committed for his murder.

This decision follows advice from the Office of the Attorney General, which recommended her discharge from the case.

Joof was arrested and brought before the court on suspicion of killing Adomah, who had visited her in Ogbojo, Accra. During his visit, Adomah reportedly exhibited erratic behavior, throwing objects around the room and claiming to be pursued. He was later discovered in a pool of blood with a thigh wound and was pronounced dead shortly after being rushed to the hospital.

Initially, Joof’s plea was withheld as the court lacked jurisdiction to address murder charges. However, on December 5, 2023, the High Court in Accra granted her bail of GH¢200,000 with one surety, influenced by the final autopsy report which attributed Adomah’s death to severe head injuries caused by a fall induced by alcohol intoxication.

The District Court had been anticipating the Attorney General’s guidance to ascertain the suitable charges against the accused, and whether additional investigation was warranted or if the accused should be released. Yesterday, during the court session, the prosecutor informed the court that the Attorney General’s advice was available, advocating for Joof’s discharge. Under the leadership of Her Worship Susana Nyakotey, the court subsequently released the accused, leading Joof to burst into tears in the courtroom.

0

The independent presidential aspirant and founder of the New Force movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, commonly known as Cheddar, has emphasized his mission to establish food processing plants in every region of Ghana.

This initiative aims to enhance agricultural activities, reduce post-harvest losses, and generate employment opportunities.
During an interview on Luv FM as part of his listening tour in the Ashanti region, Cheddar stressed the significance of prioritizing domestic manufacturing to reduce reliance on imported goods from countries like China, America, or Turkey. He pointed out the necessity of unlocking economic potential in all regions by harnessing their human and natural resources to drive prosperity.

“Out of 16 regions that we have in this country, it’s only one that is active and it’s just Accra. The rest is non-active and supposedly the rest are the ones with the resources- they have the mineral resources, they have the human resources and it’s not being used.

“ But Accra is supposed to be the active one doesn’t have one kind of mineral, there is no gold, there is no bauxite, there is no mining, there is nothing,” he remarked.

This realization drives his effort to establish factories in every region, with his listening tour integrating research to grasp the needs, behaviors, and resources of each community.

“Before we even took a step, we studied all the minerals in the country and we realized that we have attributable reserves of over 4.7 trillion untouched. We are not broke, we’re very rich but we just have bad leaders who are only interested in their pockets,” he asserted.

Cheddar noted the abundance of resources in the Ashanti region and emphasized the need for infrastructure, including power stations, to support industrial development.

“The resources are here in the Ashanti region… all of these places need plants, energy; you need power stations to at least give industrial tariffs,” he stated.
He expressed his commitment to taking action to improve Ghana’s trajectory, citing his leadership experience and pledge to uphold integrity and respect for the people.

“I have held leadership positions right from school so I have experience. I know how to make money and create wealth. I have what it takes to be president… I respect and value people. I will not steal from them or disrespect them,” he said.

Addressing accusations of illegitimate means in amassing his wealth, Cheddar vehemently defended himself, emphasizing that “I don’t blame those who think I made my wealth from drugs and other vices. It is common in our part of the world that people believe you cannot make it with through hard work without politics and drugs.

Why Sonnie Badu Decided to Restrict His Children from YouTube: His Explanation

0

Gospel singer and pastor, Sonnie Badu, recently disclosed his choice to limit his children’s exposure to YouTube citing worries over the prevalence of LGBTQ+ content.
During his conversation with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, he conveyed unease about the existence of gay undertones, even on seemingly wholesome platforms like Disney World.

He emphasized the extensive LGBTQ+ representation, highlighting that a considerable proportion of American gospel musicians are members of the LGBT+ community. He elaborated that nearly 78 percent of American gospel musicians identify as gay, indicating that this information might encourage Ghanaian churches to reassess playing songs by such individuals.

“This LGBTQ agenda is not just in Africa, it’s not just in Ghana. It’s everywhere in the world. It’s frightening. In schools, cartoons, commercials, and in America, Atlanta Georgia has a high gay rate. So, personally, in my house, my kids don’t watch YouTube anymore,”he said adding that previously, children’s movies were innocent and enjoyable, a contrast to the current situation.

“As a parent, it is very disturbing,” he remarked, noting that while it may not disturb those without children, it is profoundly distressing for parents. “It is the most painful thing” he added.

He further highlighted the pervasive nature of LGBTQ+ representation, claiming that a significant percentage of American gospel musicians are part of the LGBT+ community. Badu detailed that nearly 78 percent of American gospel musicians identify as gay, adding that this revelation could prompt Ghanaian churches to reconsider playing songs by such artists.

He continued by saying, “In America, about 78% of gospel musicians there are gay; most of these popular musicians whose songs we play on our airwaves and in our churches are into LGBT activities. If you get to know them, you won’t play their songs again. Even some of the bishops that we follow and listen to are involved in LGBT activities,” he said.

He said he was once warned by a fellow gospel musician not to interfere in such matters.

“One of the gospel musicians even warned me to mind my business when I see the things they’re involved in because they know I am conservative,” he said.

Sonnie Badu Claims 78% of Gospel Musicians and Bishops in America Are Gay

Singer and pastor Sonnie Badu recently made claims that 78 per cent of American gospel musicians including bishops are gay.

During an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, he expressed concerns about the increasing presence of LGBTQ+ content, prompting him to limit his children’s access to YouTube. He pointed out the subtle inclusion of gay themes, even on seemingly innocent platforms like Disney World, and underscored the widespread prevalence of LGBTQ+ representation in the music industry.

According to Badu, around 78% of gospel musicians in America are gay, with many actively participating in LGBT activities. He suggested that upon discovering their involvement, one would likely refrain from playing their music. Additionally, Badu mentioned that even some bishops, whom they respect and listen to, are involved in LGBT activities.

“In my house, my kids don’t watch YouTube anymore,” he stated. “There isn’t any content without propagating the LGBTQ+ agenda. Even with Disney World, there is nothing innocent being shown anymore, even though their attempt is subtle, it has lasting effects on the young viewer.”

He continued, “In America, about 78% of gospel musicians there are gay; most of these popular musicians that we play their songs on our airwaves and in our churches are into LGBT activities. If you get to know them you won’t play their songs again. Even some of the bishops that we follow and listen to are involved in LGBT activities.”

He recounted being cautioned by a fellow gospel musician not to intervene in such matters.

“One of the gospel musicians even warned me to mind my business when I see the things they’re involved in because they know I am conservative,” he said.

Office of the President Calls for Parliament to Halt Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill Amid Legal Challenges

0

The Office of the President has formally requested Parliament to refrain from sending the Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values, also known as the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill, to President Akufo-Addo for his assent.

In a letter directed to the legislative body on Monday, March 18, and endorsed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, this directive was issued in light of two pending applications for an order of interlocutory injunction currently before the Supreme Court.

The communication further conveyed that it would be inappropriate for Parliament to proceed with transmitting the Bill to President Akufo-Addo for any action until the matters before the court are addressed.

The secretary also revealed that the Attorney-General has cautioned the President against any involvement with the Bill until the issues raised by the ongoing legal suits are resolved by the Supreme Court.

“It is the understanding of this Office that both applications have also been duly served on Parliament. Therefore, it would be improper for you to transmit the Bill to the President and equally improper for this Office to receive the Bill until the Supreme Court determines the matters raised in the suits,” stated the letter.

“In the circumstances, you are kindly requested to cease from transmitting the Bill to the President until the matters before the Supreme Court are resolved,” the secretary emphasized.

Furthermore, the letter revealed that on Thursday, March 14, 2024, Parliament endeavored to send the Bill to the President while he and certain cabinet members were participating in a retreat at Peduase.

“It has come to the attention of this Office that while the President and other senior officials of the Presidency were at Peduase for a Cabinet Retreat on Thursday, 14th March 2024, you attempted to submit the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, 2024 (the ‘Bill’) to Jubilee House for the President to signify his assent or otherwise to the Bill.”
