Renowned Nollywood Filmmaker Andy Best Passes Away

Nollywood producer and marketer Ikechukwu Nnadi, known as Andy Best, passed away after a long battle with illness.

Nnadi breathed his last at a private clinic in Owerri, Imo State’s capital. Seun Oloketuyi, organizer of the Best of Nollywood awards, confirmed Nnadi’s passing on Instagram. On March 19, 2024, Oloketuyi shared the news, marking a somber moment for Nollywood.

Andy Best, the CEO of Andy Best Production, leaves behind a legacy of impactful filmmaking. His acclaimed works, such as “Lion of Africa” and “White Poison,” garnered widespread recognition in the industry.

Hailing from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Nnadi’s impactful contributions will be warmly cherished by colleagues and fans. As the industry mourns the loss of this visionary filmmaker, Nnadi’s remains have been laid to rest at the Aladinma Mortuary in Owerri.
