Blakk Rasta explains why he thinks Bawumia is Ghana’s Mr. Bean

Media personality and musician , Blakk Rasta likened Ghana’s Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to Mr. Bean in politics.

He expressed bewilderment that people still take Bawumia seriously, asserting that his political career has hit rock bottom.

During his show on 3FM, he expressed disbelief, saying, “I honestly do not understand why people still believe in Bawumia. This is the Mr. Bean of Ghana politrics. He has run out of jokes, and right now his career has crashed to the ground.”

Blakk Rasta criticized Bawumia’s broken promises, excessive campaign team appointments, and labeled those still supporting him as mere bootlickers.

“You (Bawumia) want not more than 50 ministers and their deputies when you become president in the rear occasion that you become one; now your campaign team alone has over 40, the least said about this, the better.”

He further added, “Bawumia has disappointed everybody, every well-meaning Ghanaian. Those who still follow Bawumia, 99.99% are bootlickers who are waiting for something to drop so they can lick. No correct-thinking patriot of this nation will still follow Bawumia after all the lies he has said.”

Blakk Rasta went on to highlight Bawumia’s alleged lies, including promises to stabilize the cedi against the dollar and build facilities at Agbogbloshie market, stating, “I can mention 7 trillion lies that Bawumia told. Was this the economy Bawumia promised us? Production-laden economy, today, he’s more than a tax collector.”

Concluding his critique, he stated that he wouldn’t even hire Bawumia as a houseboy.

He firmly declared, “You can have him as your president. I would not even employ him as a houseboy, forget it.”

Mr. Bean is a character played by Rowan Atkinson in a British sitcom. He is a humorous, often silent, and clumsy individual who finds himself in various comedic situations, creating laughter through visual gags and physical comedy.

There are rumors circulating that Gospel singer Diana Asamoah received a car and house from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) due to her alignment with the party.

During an Accra FM interview with Nana Romeo, when asked to confirm or deny, Diana neither confirmed nor denied, emphasizing the privacy of such matters. She questioned why such personal details should be everyone’s business, encouraging everyone to focus on their constituencies.

During the discussion, Diana brought in a biblical touch, referencing Isaiah 65:21-24, highlighting the notion that individuals should enjoy the fruits of their labor. Drawing parallels, she likened the situation to Nana Romeo being compensated for his radio job, suggesting that everyone should reap what they sow.

Guinness World Records has verified that Afua Asantewaa Aduonum did not succeed in her attempt for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

GWR expressed appreciation for the inspiration Asantewaa provided to her fans, despite her attempt falling short of breaking the existing record. It’s worth noting that the evidence check had already begun before her request for priority service, leading to a refund of her payment earlier in the month.

0

Guinness World Records has officially declared that Afua Asantewaa’s attempt to establish the record for the longest individual singing marathon was not successful.

In a tweet on Friday, February 23, 2024, the official response read: “Unfortunately Afua’s Guinness World Records attempt for the longest singing marathon was not successful, but we hope that she will make another attempt soon. We’ve seen how inspirational it has been for her fans. The evidence check had already begun before Afua requested priority service, so we refunded her payment earlier this month. We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts.”

The question fans are asking is, if her money was refunded, why did she not come out to declare the possibility of a disqualification?

Asantewa captivated the whole nation with her attempt at getting the longest sing-a-thon late last year. The event at the Akwaaba Village truly brought Ghaianas together with visits from the top hierarchy of politics to A-List showbiz personalities.

Even though She tried her best, a few technicalities regarding her breaks in singing and pauses could not earn her the top spot. The record holder, Sunil Waghmare from India is still at the top position for his 105 hours which took place in Nagpur, India, from March 3 to March 7, 2012.

Better Luck next time.

Obaapa Christy Opens Up on Why She Chose Not to Collect Her BECE Results

0

Gospel artist Obaapa Christy, formerly Christiana Love, revealed that after completing Junior High School, she consciously chose not to go for her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results, anticipating unfavorable outcomes.
While she dedicated time to study, she held a strong belief that her academic performance wouldn’t meet expectations.
Speaking with Roselyn Felli on Joy Prime’s morning show, she expressed her certainty about not passing the exams and emphasized that she didn’t regret this decision.

Obaapa Christy recalled her preference for singing and praying for sick classmates, often being called upon to lead worship at school.
Additionally, she enjoyed running errands for her tutors. She confessed a dislike for “dictation” and claimed to experience instant headaches during such activities.
Despite acknowledging that she might have excelled in education if she had focused her mind on studying, she firmly believes in her calling as a gospel artist.

She sees her journey into gospel music not as a missed opportunity in education but as a manifestation of divine grace guiding her path. Obaapa Christy expressed gratitude for her current role as a gospel artist, stating that she might have pursued a different field if she had chosen a more academic path.

It’s worth noting that BECE is significant in Ghana for certification and selection into Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes, with continuous assessment contributing 30% and the external examination contributing 70% to the total assessment. Eligible candidates are in the third year of Junior High Schools approved by the Ghana Education Service.

Ghana, Bahamas Sign Visa Waiver Agreement for Passport Holders

Ghana and the Bahamas have recently entered into a visa waiver agreement, signifying a significant development in international travel.
The Ghana Immigration Service revealed on February 20 that the visa waiver agreement aims to simplify travel processes and assist uninformed travelers. It specifically covers individuals with Diplomatic, Service, and Ordinary Passports, demonstrating a focused effort to improve travel convenience between the two nations.

Apart from informing relevant parties, the circular instructs Officers in Charge (OICs) of entry points and pertinent sections to actively recognize and implement the visa waiver. This guidance is vital to uphold consistency in travel protocols, ensuring a seamless process and preventing any potential confusion.

New Tourism Minister lacks time and expertise to revive struggling industry- Baba Sadiq

0

Founder of 3Music Awards, Baba Sadiq, expresses reservations about the potential impact of the new leadership at the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
Although some creatives welcome the change, Sadiq believes it’s too late for the newly appointed minister, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, to bring about significant improvements.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Baba Sadiq stressed the need for comprehensive solutions to address longstanding challenges within the creative sector. He points out Mercer’s limited timeframe (less than 10 months in office) and the upcoming elections, which he believes hinder the minister’s ability to make substantial changes.

“We all know this is an election year and from around June till we vote in December, government machinery grinds to a halt because it is when they focus on the elections and campaign.

“That time will eat into the few months left for them to deliver to us. The minister designate is also a sitting MP and he is seeking re-election so he will need time to do that as well, so he can’t do much, he remarked.

Furthermore, Sadiq highlights Mercer’s lack of industry background, asserting, “He is not an industry person and he has less than 10 months in office. He will need more time to study and understand the space if he is looking to push the sector forward which will take time. We would need someone who can run the space with a certain level of speed.”

Baba Sadiq emphasized,”He would need more time to understand the sector, issues and challenges in the industry, find resources and learn how things work before he can pick up, and the time is very limited for him to do all of these.”
Andrew Egyapa Mercer assumed the position of the new Tourism Minister, succeeding Ibrahim Awal, in a government reshuffle led by President Nana Addo on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.”
