Martha Ankomah firmly refuted Lil Win’s damaging claims, asserting that she never made any of the statements he accused her of.
Emphasizing her unwavering commitment to professionalism and integrity in the Ghanaian film industry, she highlighted that such baseless accusations not only harm her reputation but also disrupt the vital teamwork needed for the entertainment sector to flourish.

Lil Win had alleged that Martha expressed disdain towards Kumawood actors, citing their purported lack of quality storylines as a reason for her refusal to work with them. Martha’s denouncement is on the back of Lilwin’s allegations.

In response to these allegations, Martha Ankomah filed a writ of summons at the High Court in Accra, seeking redress for the false statements made by Lil Win.

The writ, demanding GH₵5 million in damages, underscores the gravity of the situation and the impact on her reputation. The legal action also includes a command for Lil Win to appear in court within eight days to respond to the allegations.

In Martha’s statement of Claim, she asserts that: She vehemently denies Lilwin’s claim and that, she has never had any such meeting with the said director and said anything Lilwin accuses her of to warrant any attack on her brand.

Ghanaian comic actor, Bismark Ofori popularly known as Kyekyeku cried uncontrollably after actress, Vivian Jill contributed a whopping amount of GH¢10,000 to aid the premiering of his movie titled “1957.”

Kyekyeku, who was stunned by the amount of money, shed tears for a while after the funds were presented to him by Vivian Jill in support of his upcoming movie premiere.

Speaking after the presentation of the funds, Vivian Jill called on members of the public to contribute their quota to aid Kyekyeku in the premiering of his movie titled “1957” for him to regain his investment.

“I would plead with everyone to support our brother [Kyekyeku] because he invested a lot in this work. I believe that love and support help one to progress in life.

“So, everyone should come on board to help. On March 6, I would be seated at the venue to help him,” she said in a video shared by Ghanaian blogger Sikaofficial on his X page and sighted by GhanaWeb.

In response, Kyekyeku expressed gratitude to Jill for the gesture.

“I’m grateful and may God bless you for this kind gesture,” he said.

Founder and Leader of the All People Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has accused both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of damaging Ghana’s political landscape with money.
He contends that these two parties have commercialized Ghana’s elections to the extent that voters demand payment to cast their votes in a particular direction.

During an interview on TV3’s Hot Issues with Keminni Amanor on Sunday, February 18, Hassan Ayariga expressed, “The NDC and the NPP over the years have turned Ghana into a business center where they have turned Ghanaian voters vulnerable. They have to pay them money to vote, and those who take the money to vote are the ones deciding who becomes the president.”

Ayariga emphasized his commitment to avoiding corruption, stating, “I am not ready to become corrupt like the NDC and NPP; they monetize elections.” He highlighted the growing voter apathy due to disillusionment with the NPP and NDC, stating that Ghanaians are seeking an alternative force that, unfortunately, remains unnoticed despite offering the best policies and strategies for governing Ghana.

He also issued a warning to officials of the current government engaging in corruption, asserting that if he wins the elections, they will be held accountable. Ayariga remarked, “If you are a political thief, pray that Hassan Ayariga doesn’t become president. If you are corrupt, pray hard that Hassan Ayariga doesn’t become the president. When I become president, all those who have mismanaged our money and resources, I will change their sleeping places.”

Regarding APC’s preparations for the upcoming elections, Ayariga revealed strong financial readiness, indicating a budget of $100 million for the presidential and parliamentary campaigns. When asked about parliamentary candidates, he stated, “We are looking at winning 25 constituencies.”
