Joyce Blessing released a song titled ‘Victory’ which has taken a wave on social media and also enjoying airplay.

But Piesie Esther disclosed on the McBrown show that it was not deliberate to release her song around the same time Joyce Blessing had released hers.

According to her, she was supposed to release her song past so she hurriedly dropped it when everything was set.

Meanwhile, Nana Ama McBrown snobbishly issued that ‘somebody’s business is not somebody’s schedule.

Popular UK-based Ghanaian TikToker Linda Osei has criticized popular actress and TV host, Nana Ama McBrown over her recent comment she made on Onua Showbiz live tv program.

According to Maa Linda, Nana Ama McBrown didn’t speak well concerning the controversy surrounding the release of Piesie Esther’s new song “Mo”.

Maa Linda noted in a video that the multiple award-winning actress should have been cautious while speaking about the issue as someone who is loved by all Ghanaians.

Instead, she chose to rubbish the support being galvanised for Joyce Blessing’s song to sell well.

She also reminded McBrown of how Ghanaians have always supported everything she does and cautioned her to mind how she talks.

This comes after Nana Ama McBrown talked down on efforts to promote gospel musician Joyce Blessing’s song ‘Victory’

People have said that Piesie Esther’s decision to release her song ‘Mo’ at a point where Joyce Blessing’s song was taking wave in the media is wrong. She should have waited for the song to enjoy its trend.

However, McBrown trashed their opinion, noting somebody’s business is not someone’s schedule.

‘I can’t advertise lotto, alcohol, condoms’ – Piesie Esther explains sponsorship problem

0

Award-winning gospel musician Piesie Esther has stated many reasons artistes don’t get the necessary sponsorships from brands to help them grow their craft.

According to her, many brands that are willing to sponsor artistes peddle products that may not align with Christian values. Thus, it is difficult for artistes to get sponsored by these companies.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM, Piesie Esther diclosed that most of the successful brands in the industry have products that do not align with the gospel. So gospel musicians cannot endorse. Unlike our highlife counterparts.

She gave a synario that, let’s say an alcoholic brand wants her to advertise their product. She can not do alcoholic advertisements. The brand will not get returns on such investments. So they will not do business with he.

The “Waye Me Yie” hitmaker cited cases where she had to turn down lucrative deals due to her Christian values and ethics.

“A lottery brand was trying to convince me to advertise their brand but I could not, as the name of the brand would not help my gospel brand and business.

“Sometimes, these things are not necessarily sinful but beyond myself, you have to think of what others will say. I can’t advertise lotto, alcohol, condoms and aphrodisiacs,” she said.

Brace yourselves for the imminent release of #Mo “Well Done.” This heartfelt anthem of gratitude to the Almighty has been released, and it’s touching souls.

Shatta Wale’s Friend Beyoncé Drops Video Trailer for ‘Renaissance’ Concert Film

0

Beyoncé unveiled a full trailer Sunday evening for a forthcoming concert film based on her blockbuster 2023 Renaissance World Tour.

The film’s formal title is “Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce,” and the singer has opened ticket pre-sales at theater chains including AMC, Regal and Cinemark. It will hit U.S. theaters on Dec. 1.

“When I am performing, I am nothing but free,” Beyoncé purrs in the trailer over a montage of images from the road. “My goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged.”

The singer’s company Parkwood Entertainment teased a late announcement for the final domestic stop on her tour, and Beyoncé uploaded the trailer to her Instagram shortly before 11 p.m. PT. She captioned the post with the lyric, “Be careful what you ask for / ’cause I just might comply” from her song “All Up in Your Mind.”

Like many Beyoncé productions, this film promises to be a family affair. Footage of Beyoncé rehearsing with eldest daughter and current backup dancer Blue Ivy Carter can be glimpsed in the trailer, as can she and her and Jay-Z’s twins, Rumi and Sir. Shawn Carter himself is also spotted and is heard on voiceover asking his wife about her intentions with this latest creative effort.

As Variety reported exclusively on Saturday, Beyoncé closed a deal to distribute the new concert film directly with exhibition giant AMC Theatres, and she revealed more exhibition chains in her formal announcement.

An auction for the hybrid project was teased to the major studios and streamers in mid-September, sources told Variety in an earlier report. Beyoncé chose an unconventional deal template forged by AMC and Taylor Swift in August. Swift’s film was self-financed and she will see well over 50% of box office grosses in the arrangement, reports said. Beyoncé will get the same deal, said Variety’s sources.

Insiders said the film will have an ambitious scope — incorporating highlights from the full 2023 run of the Renaissance World Tour, the long-awaited videos shot for the visual album “Renaissance” and a docu-style account of recording the album and conceiving the tour.

Previous concert films from Beyoncé include the direct-to-DVD “I Am…Yours,” filmed live at Las Vegas’ Wynn Casino in 2009; the 2013 HBO project “Life Is But a Dream,” a confessional account of new motherhood mixed with live performances from her grand opening performance at Atlantic City’s Revel Casino; and Netflix’s “Homecoming,” the cultural phenomenon which captured Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella headlining set.

The music industry is suffering – Akosua Adjepong laments

0

Highlife music legend, Akosua Adjepong, has expressed her disappointment with the current state of the Ghanaian music industry.

In a recent interview with RAJAB Media GH, she pointed out a lack of seriousness among major stakeholders as a significant hindrance to the industry’s progress.

Adjepong noted that Ghana has a wealth of rich rhythms to explore, but the music industry has been lagging behind compared to other countries like Nigeria and Senegal, where musicians are taking advantage of this musical diversity.

She highlighted her experiences in Seychelles, where she heard music from various countries, including Nigeria, Senegal, and Mali.

She questioned why Ghana wasn’t capitalizing on these rhythms and suggested that Nigerians were even playing Highlife music better than Ghanaians currently.

I will keep saying that the right things have not been done,” she said.

Her comments come at a time where many creatives in the music industry, have aired their concerns about the state of the industry and its growth, especially in light of the progress of their Nigerian counterparts.
