Radio personality Michael Boateng popularly known as Mike 2, has descended heavily on singer Wendy Shay over her recent comments about the New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) performance when it comes to the creative arts sector.
In an interview with Empire FM, Wendy Shay said the Akufo-Addo led government has performed well with regards to the creative arts sector.
“The NPP has done a lot of good work and are still doing more in the creative arts industry. If you look at some of the things they have done, even not just the creative arts industry, for example, Free SHS, a lot of people have benefitted from the policy,” she said.
Reacting to Wendy Shay’s comments in a Facebook post sighted by KwasiAboagyeLive.com, Mike 2, who hosts Adom Entertainment hall on Adom FM told Wendy Shay to shut up and challenged her to mention one key thing the NPP government has done for the entertainment industry.
Mike 2 advised industry players to put aside favoritism and personal interests and rather help to build the industry.
He wrote “New entrants in the industry like Wendy Shay and co whose uncles are directly active in the ruling party should shut up, they should come out and point one thing the party has done for the creative industry…let’s build the industry rather than our favourite political parties..”
